I would say probably not, I’m assuming the final day of phase 2, the 90 day trial, is due to be completed around the 12th of August, but of course this depends on what day we started the trial and there will also be time for analysis of results/ publishing etc.
From memory The cerp/bpc merger/voting is towards the end of July.
Personally I’m hoping for the 300 bopd predicted results on the co2 eor and then IMO the potential for all of Trinidad will be realised.

I will always admit when I am wrong and I was wrong on Morocco.
I always thought Morocco was plan B to Trinidad and Ireland.
This is a great RNS and now confirms that all our projects are on the same page and are as important as each other.
The potential returns from Morocco if successful are going to be huge and as Paul states “ the new areas are not included in the current estimates.
Wow.
So happy, the next podcast should be interesting.

It is a small post but it contains the list of companies/institutions that attended the conference.

On the list are some big hitters and a partner whom we know well, I was drawn to one name not familiar with our project in
T & T.
Equinor.
As per their website

One of the Worlds largest offshore operators and a leader in CCS, so are they there to lend a guiding hand, possibly gain a foothold in T & T. Or is it something else ?, It does appear they dont have anything of significance in T & T.
However thats not to be said of a company they merged with Ten years ago.

To make Ammonia you need Natural Gas (Methane) and Nitrogen,

During the process as we know it produces lots of pure CO2. as per then the CO2 is used in EOR.

This of course is just an experiment but if successful, could it tip the scales in the favour of a World changing Carbon Neutral/Negative shipping system?, It would be very hard to ignore.

Oh and I nearly forgot, Equinor have a 36.5% interest in the producing Corrib Field Ireland and commission the build of offshore Installations and infrastructure.

Brilliant find thechancers, so much information to digest, what is the likely hood of this not going ahead, "Trillions of Dollars"of oil waiting to be recovered and IMO we are the company with the knowledge of how to make the science of CO2 EOR a working reality.
All Oil Majors, Form an orderly queue please.
In the first video Mr Clyde Abder comments on "Candidate reservoirs have been identified for CO2 IOR in Trinidad over 20 years ago, the report was finalized but dont know where it is".
UTT have reworked the study and Identified 11 Oil fields for CO2 EOR, as per Tonya Joseph comments in the video below.
"We have selected 6 onshore fields and 5 offshore fields since these fields have the largest heavy oil deposits in Trinidad"
They cant name them because of Confidentiality Agreements.
It does make me wonder who Heritage are going to be having conversations with, in regard to the expansion of CO2 EOR in
T & T.

This confirms my belief the pilot eor in Trinidad is not only potentially massive regionally but Globally through the technology/engineering processes/ institutional backing, and is also the precursor to our development in Ireland being given the green light to extract gas and safely store CO2. (ticks boxes).

The Cerm project, is a must read for anyone who has previously not done so.
This is the roadmap for our project in Trinidad and inexplicably links in with Ireland also and I believe is what our company has based itself on.

Evening all,
I think I may have found the precursor to our project in Trinidad.
I don’t want to spoil it with little snippets and it can be a tad technical in places, but the theoretical study published in 2014 has striking similarities so much so that you may be forgiven for thinking that they copied our plan for eor.

“Paris Accord” Trinidad and Tobago,
very interesting that PRD show up just about at the same time as Trinidad sign up to the agreement and Imo for a small country that is a big commitment, however a plan using carbon capture as the benchmark with co2 eor as the financial instrument to implement the project its a win win for everyone.

As from the article Petrotrin, have 30 years experience of co2 eor with the first study commencing in 1973.
The more I dig the more I come to realise that this current project as with Ireland and possibly even Morocco is not something dreamed up in the past few years, I don’t believe in coincidences, everything happens for a reason and you could be right on the money.
As Paul said in the latest annual report.
“Trinidad is our Core project”
Next few months should be really interesting.

Government has said that Petrotrin will now focus on exploration and production in a drive to increase onshore oil production. Predator is uniquely-placed to capitalise on these exciting new developments having just this week met with Petrotrin to progress our CO2 EOR in Trinidad. We have cornered the existing C02 Supply and have put together the highest quality internal and local team to execute the CO2 EOR Pilot. Successful CO2 EOR for Predator will result in the opportunity to rapidly grow our EOR business in Trinidad as the only provider of such services – with experience and funding from cash flow. It’s a unique in-country position that puts Predator firmly in the public eye in Trinidad. The potential is huge. Indicative reserves and production rates could be up to 380 million barrels could be recovered onshore Trinidad from C02 EOR which could add another 30,000 bopd of onshore production but are subject to further studies and an increased supply of C02 EOR. Hi all,
This is a very early VOX Market interview with Paul about Trinidad and Tobago’s oil reserves regarding co2 eor.
The piece is written with Petrotrin even before Heritage Took over as state oil company and I must admit to never reading it.
In the article Paul states how huge the opportunity is and I tend to agree, the company is in essence further down the road on this project than any other, Ireland or Morocco. I do realise that it may take longer to come to full fruition however,
If the co2 eor is successful and I do believe it will be, the rewards even if we only make 10% on the 380 million barrels of recoverable reserves in Trinidad, this project alone could be worth a mc of £1.5 Billion at today’s prices.

Good find and a very good argument for why it is more environmentally friendly to be using the PRD model of energy production and waste removal
I think that it could be the eventual plan to use the Kinsale fields as per the comments in the article.

Together with exploring carbon emissions export and storage in Norway, Ervia is also assessing the feasibility of a permanent carbon store closer to home, in the now depleted Kinsale gas field.

Possibly Norway is further down the road with the co2 storage facilities than we are for the time being.

Interesting that Predator oil and gas are seeking to compare our Barrow FSRU project with theirs and ride on our coat tails. There are major differences, specifically that we will be bringing LNG into the UK which is a substantially larger market, we have already undertaken a substantial portion of technical work along with having planning already in place. Perhaps when they get upto this point in a couple of years they may understand their costs better.
