RE: Panic...29 Jul 2022 21:12
Realise ive banged on about this a bit today, so will be the last post on this for a while. Here is my take. It is positive that MGC now have access to cash, as without any sizeable revenue something had to happen soon. Pipeline looks promising too. However, CLNs will most likely put downward preasure on the SP for the next 18 to 24 months unless MGC find means to exit the agreement or raise some substantial capital through sales contracts. The reality is 1.2M of loan will be shortly called off by MGC issuing a further 21M shares to Mercer. "there is your initial dilution" Mercer will not be in this for the long haul and like us PIs will be selling their shares when the SP increses either through positive sentiment or actual results. So here we have the dilution element and any good news being sold into, this further spooks PIs who also sell into the price drop. Everyone is hoping to catch the bottom.
The thing is this is just the implications of the first tranche, and MGC will call off the loan, issuing shares to Mercer for the next 18 months at points which we won't be aware of until RNS'ed. The whole death spiral repeats and Mercer hold the keys to how the share price behaves as any short term raise will be potentially massivley sold into to an extent that us PIs could only dream of. This happened with Hemo & MINT quite recently and there will be evidence online of this probably. Hemo managed to pay back a large chunk of the initial loan and further drawdowns were cancelled. Terminating the funding agreement.
Why am I explaining this? I personally think we should be wary of going all in, or averaging down just now. While the MGC pipeline looks good, the CLN situ will likely have a substantial short to mid term negative effect on the SP.
Personally im 75% underwater just now, and plan to average down considerably as I believe in the pipeline, however. Im going to wait and see how sp behaves in the coming months as for the above reasons I think the share price halving is much more likely than a 100% increase in the mid term.
All just my own personal opinion and DYOR. GL all long suffering MGC holders! Hopefully we'll see profit one day. Im here for the long haul.
