Lse showing no buys yesterday but I know that 25670 were bought yesterday afternoon @ 23.35p. Looks a reasonable medium term punt if Board are able to capitalise on the strong Iodine pricing.
Well, what to make of this?. Share price now just above 110p offer after late jump Friday, shorts closing , someone get a scent of a counter offer or what?
Results Tuesday. Hoping to see things on an even keel with a fair outlook, and divi prospects. Might they initiate a share buyback at these lowly levels, which would of course increase major shareholders stakes unless they sold into it , though as we saw a few months ago the share price can move sharply with buying support. Fingers crossed!.
Calms my nerves a little!.
Yes indeed. Let's hope things are at least keeping steady . Still kicking myself for not cutting back a bit at 150 and taking the loss and with the benefit of hindsight of course I would have sold the lot. With reasonable profits what chance a dividend here? .
Market Cap. here now £72mn with pre-tax profit already guided to be 18mn+, yes there's 22mn of debt but even so this looks very cheap. Rose to 150p after full year trading update and all the way back down again and 450p high in past year. I'd be buying more at these prices if I had the cash, in at near 200 I'm afraid. The piggy bank has been sorely bruised these past six months.
Nothing in update to frighten the horses what with xd date tomorrow. Hold for the divi or sell, let's see how the market reacts after yesterday's US falls.
49 mn shares traded today, hmm ?.
76mn showing as traded??. Something afoot?. Closed out today at 210, ah well!.
Excellently put Whitehat!.
The BoD doesn't fill me with confidence.
Have you had a knock on the head E.C.. I recall that you were critical of the BoD for leaving $700mn(pre-tax) of the Indian award on the table and then we had the Special Divi/ no Special Divi shenanigans. I repeat, if the BoD had a bit more gumption then CNE could have a somewhat larger share of the proposed new entity.
Feel that a more determined board could have got a higher % of the proposed entity, haven't forgotten how easily they surrendered $700mn pre tax of the tribunal award!.
Thus, barring a counter offer, our share price is now totally dependent on the TLW share price, how it goes we go. Very disappointing investment here.
Correction: and with the price of a barrel of oil still strong.
2.36mn shares traded today so Co. should have been able to buy in reasonable quantity , not making much of an impression on share price though and with price of abarrell
Clarification awaited from the Board.
Whilst I haven't gone into the detail of this, if the contingent payments are structured as capital payments as part of the sale contract and not structured as profit sharing then there should be no extra liability due to CNE as a consequence of Sunak's Marxist Tax. If this is correct any amounts due would fall to Waldorf
Anyone know where we might stand with regards to selling CCs as Tesla has done ?. Tesla's recent move to profitability was powered by sales of Carbon Credits.
Was wondering about that but are bonuses determined by total shareholder returns so might not be dependent on simple share price?. Just musing, have not bothered to go a hunting through the website to find out and even then might be little the wiser.
