RE: Thoughts8 Sep 2021 00:54
A rather asinine post I venture. We have hitherto been able to exchange views for or against the lesser settlement in good nature I would like to think we could continue in that vein rather than have the board degenerate into the kind of malicious bedlam we see on such as ARB. A shareholder is a shareholder, full stop. The object of investing is to produce income/capital gain and a holder of 10 years has no more rights, legally or morally, than a holder who bought last week. Both are risking their capital to the same degree. The value of a stock rises and falls with an individual company's performance and the general market vagaries. The wiser investor should try to take advantage of these movements. Just buying , locking away and hoping for the best can have an adverse effect on an investor's financial wellbeing. Best not to get too emotionally attached to a stock, easy though that is to do. There endeth tonight's homily. Off to bed now .
