See the question mark after my first sentence.
Directors buying low after selling high ?. Look out for those notifications. Should make people more confident about buying here.
showing with over 5% stake rns yesterday but there's also rns for BofA . Is there some connection, can anyone elucidate. Soc. Gen. appears simple enough but the Bof A is trickier.
Nice Post.
Welcome back and well done on getting in back before the rise. Unfortunately margin pressure on Monday meant I had to cut back my exposure on the spreads by the equivalent of 30k shares , the day before the update, even on Tuesday might have had to cutback somewhat. Still exposed to 93k though so fingers crossed for a rising share price. The quandary will be what to do when the tender is announced.
Has buyback not been extended to end Feb. ? The recent price rise will have put buying back outside the set parameters. With these buybacks purchase price is usually constrained to a ceiling of 5% above the average price of the previous 5 days so no purchases until these conditions can be met. Haven't looked it up on CNE website so if wrong welcome correction. Don't know why they couldn't have put out a tender to market to purchase 20m£ worth no need to make the offer to all shareholders for such a small sum ?.
Remember there will be a share buyback to follow on after the tender which should help support the share price. 200m$ or so.
Ha, sorry, Soundman !.
Previous post reply to Sandman.
250×4£ gives mcap of one billion ex buyback but there will be less cash in Co. so may not be 4£ per share ?
Don't expect them to hand over a billion any sooner than they have to.
Very nice update here , still 4p a share underwater or 500 quid but looking for a rise towards 300. Last dabble here last year b/e around 250 from memory sold halfway to 300 was kicking myself for not holding a little longer share price rather sluggish at time. Been in and out of Spirent over the years always made a nice profit here even though move up was often slow but missed out by getting out too soon several times. Patience pays at times hopefully this will be less under the radar and there's always chance of a bid. On the Nasdaq this might be a lot higher.
It's the waiting for the lally that's driving him Doololly---The Polyfillas
Can't believe private investors would be looking to short this at this stage and with energy prices where they are.
Don't hold your breath!
One can only hope they've got a nod and a wink for some kind of quid pro quo for business in India, whatever value can be placed on a qpq from the GoI is another matter.
If CNE had been listed on a US exchange the lawyers would have been seeking shareholders for a class action for the egregious dereliction of fiduciary duty, over here you can hear a pin drop. 700m dollars pre tax was a huge sum to surrender for a company the size of CNE with the GoI over a barrel and without a shareholder vote.
There's no notification on lse but Liontrust have built a 10% stake here , the reason behind recent share rise no doubt.
We're up but tullow and enquest up too, so not cne specific.
Fy results to be announced on Feb 8. Trimmed my s/bs back @ 364 hoping to get back in on a fall back unfortunately movements elsewhere may prevent reentry to the fullest extent. This day trading can be a tricky business.
