FGS Declare a special dividend and consolidate the shares and get it over and done with.
How many shares did they buy back today under the new programme, we'll find out in the morning! New shareholder showing, new purchase or the effect of the Capital Reduction?. Disappointing late share performance today. Where's Baysil, in shock from the post scheme share price fall or working on that takeover for us?.
Perhaps expectation that take up at this price might be poor and therefore a cash special divi. Each share now owns approx. 50% more of the Co. albeit a Co. with 500m dollars less cash. One could be forgiven for thinking that share price should remain roughly where it was pre rns.
So , hedge now or wait hoping oil price goes even higher , hmm?.
25mn shares? Why not wait for the tender offer where there will be a ready buyer, selling heavily now puts downward pressure on the share price.
Investors giving up here and looking for bargains elsewhere? CNE floundering like a fish out of water , come on will no Co. make a bid for us and put us out of our misery.
Buyback only scheduled to run until end of Feb.
And Brent briefly exceeds 119, thar she blows captain.
A king of bookbuild if you will.
As regards the T.O. price is it possible the Co. Will take soundings from the iis as to the likely price?.
And the next question....how long before tender announced?.
Let's see what effect it will have on share price.
At last, thank goodness, some good news on a bleak day for portfolio.
Today's Western leaders are like mice playing poker against a cobra with a brain. Oil price looks likely to remain strong now.Sad that deadly warfare will be the cause. Germany has only 2 remaining nuclear power plants that are due for closure this year, will they keep them open now and can they reopen those they've closed and with the Greens in Coalition will they be able to politically?.
Wel that nutter in the Kremlin has done what he said he wasn't going to do, but you can't expect much restraint from a bloke who sends his assassins abroad to poison his opponents and the slap on the wrist responses were never going to deter him.
If the GoI don't transfer the cash by the scheduled date surely they will be in actual default. But what is the actual date?. Our BoD must know the date if they've got half their wits about them but they deign not to keep us small shareholders informed Grrr.
BP forecasts to cut its oil output by 40% to 1mn barrels pd by 2030 whilst increasing renewable energy capacity 20 fold. The glory days for oil/gas as energy source are over pushed by politicians in thrall to the NetZero narrative. How should smaller cos. like CNE proceed?. Personally think Co. should be avoiding further expensive exploration just run Co. to maximise cash delivery.
Another knee Jerk reaction.....to the groin , anything less than 24carats gets hammered these days. Expect it will reverse at least in part , well , hope so!!
The TO will be an opportunity for any ii more concerned with esg than seeing a profitable ongoing Co. to reduce their holdings without crashing the share price. Recall that fall to the 120's last year which at least gave us a chance to lower our averages but didn't do those who'd entrusted their investment to them any favours.
It certainly would be nice if the BoD were to condescend to keep us small shareholders up to date with the progress something they have not been overly concerned to do hitherto. Remember BoD we the shareholders own the Co. retail as well as iis.
