Driver Alert Control

Pilot Assist
For smoother driving from standstill up to motorway speeds, Pilot Assist supplements Adaptive Cruise Control by adding gentle steering support to help keep the car centered in its lane and at a set speed. And if there's a vehicle in front of you, it can adapt your speed to help keep a set distance. Active up to 80 mph, Pilot Assist steering support can facilitate driving in stop and go traffic as well as driving on the motorway. If you don't keep a hand on the steering wheel, Pilot Assist is automatically switched off. Pilot Assist is part of IntelliSafe Assist.

It is not necessarily OSRAM, other visible and NIR LED suppliers are available

From this thread, and looking at their products it looks like Toyoda Gosei are the equivalent of Tanaka, they make steering wheels etc, the extra functionality is actually designed and developed by 3rd parties (I know a good party) but the unit is delivered in one piece for installation by the OEM. The wheel just holds the camera and illumination (and airbag) and buttons/stalks - OSRAM would claim they make the hard part (the lights and IR source) Toyoda Gosei assemble it. the DMS supplier (- lets say SEE) don't make any of the hardware, but will have designed the optical path and the software.

I didn't know the source. But from experience, suppliers of "props" get little editorial input. Valuable free material may be supplied, but name checks or prepared lines get left on the cutting room floor. If you are lucky a stack of material or a logo may be seen in the background and can't be cut due to what is needed for the program happening in the foreground

I doubt that SEE knew anything about the program. We didn't get named, neither did the car simulator manufacturer. We were just props brought in by the expert who uses them in research with his students.

SoulBoy, I suppose that the Council and their parliamentary timetables are somewhat fluid as they fit in what they must and what they can depending on what, if anything is agreed or agreeable. I doubt that this approval will be too contentious, but they may be keeping themselves some flexibility just in case that Brexit thing needs some attention.

I doubt that we would be re-writing the scope of an RFQ in automotive to change the format to licensing. Those bids are in an they are just slow due to the changes in the industry.

, I was invited to check out Alaska Airlines’ brand-new CAE 7000 Boeing 737-800 flight simulator. It is so new that pilots have not started training on it and it had a “new car” smell. The new simulator joins three others (one 737-400, one 737-700, and another 737-800) that are already at the facility. But this one is different, with the newest simulator technology, making it more real than its predecessors.

Mixed fleet if 737,747 and some airbus, so hooefully more than one simulator will need kitting out.
