I'm following the words of a certain Mr Buffett & buying when others are fearful.
The Hang Seng has dropped from its high of over 30,000 points to below 16,000 & JCGI has dropped from around 800p to below 270p.
I'm comfortable to keep adding at such levels & if all was rosy in China, then JCGi should be trading around double what it is today (or even treble).
I'll keep adding at these prices & it's just a pity i can't do the same with BRES & BENS in my monthly ISA subscription
I was lucky enough to buy into Ben at 11p (The same day it was tipped at 10p) & added at 28 & 29p before selling most of my holding around 100p.
I've added back into ben & now sit on a small profit on my current holding. The original profits have been put into the likes of IMB,DEC,L&G etc (all paying healthy dividends).
The main difference between Bens Creek & PHE is that Bens has a very good revenue stream on tap already & that should continue & improve in the future (not guaranteed). PHE climbed to 10p on what might be, not what currently is going on !
I bought into PHE between .03 & .07p selling out on the way up & didn't hold on for 10p, as i couldn't see the value in doing so & it never hurts to take a profit.
Jeez !
I thought all the doom mongers kept to the Lloyds Bank page !
I've just returned from Iceland with easyJet & there was around 6 seats empty on each flight. Plenty of us booked better seats/ speedy boarding etc
But then again, most folk going to Iceland for a trip aren't bothered about a few quid here or there. I'm already getting itchy fingers for my next trip & at these prices part of my monthly ISA top up is heading into (EZJ) again.
I always used to invest in BBox when it headed towards 100p & then sell out for a 35-45% profit, But after i sold out last time i was amazed to see it carry on climbing into the 200's. At that point i just hoped that folk weren't piling in & so it proved !
This has fallen back quite badly for a company with a solid income stream, so unless interest rates climb sharply to 6% or more - it could soon be a time to dip back in again.
Nobody is booking now ?
I've just booked flights with Easyjet to Iceland (seats are almost full) & may even go again in December. Not everyone wants to sit at a bar drinking every day & plenty of us seek adventure in cooler climates.
Easyjet has also just had my first investment from my monthly ISA subscription & i'm hoping the price will stay low for a while, so i can build my holding.
Thank cluck I got out !
