Now it's just a matter of choosing another share with value in it's price to replace HL when i'm paid out.

To make the choice easy, I'd love to see Unilever fall back to the 4000p mark again (or lower) :D

I may even hold as cash, as i'm sure we're going to have some sort of correction in the near future.

I completely sold out of Unilever at 4600p (at good profit) & honestly couldn't see the SP going above 4750p.

A few weeks ago on 212 trading chat, an investor stated that he was interested in buying into Unilever when it was around the 5000p mark. I replied that i honestly thought Unilever was looking expensive & i certainly wouldn't buy at that price.

I hope that person took my words on board & stayed away from Unilever for the time being.

I've been adding BP & Glencore while they've been languishing around the 400p mark & below.

@fogthemogg - I can't see why the dividend won't be maintained given that BAT's is buying back tens of thousands of it's own shares each day. Earnings are still robust, new products are picking up in sales & the dividend has been well covered of late.

With how today's markets are acting, i can see this sliding back down to 2300-2400p range (if it does i'll certainly buy more)

The time to buy BATS was when it was around 2300p.

With how the markets are acting nowadays, the SP could well end up back there before Xmas. If it does, I'll add more BATS to my PF.

Although i missed the Divi payment, i still can't complain about the timing of buying into Glencore. The day after i sold my stake in CARD it plunged around 20%. I bought into GLEN with the proceeds & am already up around 7.5% in SP rise here.

I'd been eyeing GLEN for a while, but the SP drop in BP was too good to pass up.

I couldn't have timed that much better !

After deciding that 40% profit was enough for me to sell out of Card yesterday, I then put the proceeds into Glencore.

Today Card is down 17% & Glencore is up 4.5 % as I type.

I bought into PHP around the 100p mark & have been adding on a monthly basis since then (as the SP has obviously been lower than 100p).

This isn't a share that is likely to rocket towards 200p anytime soon (but strange things can & do happen). I'm looking at 105p as the very max SP i'll buy PHP at.

I'd hold if the SP rise was steady & i was confident of it holding up !

It just seems to head towards 600p & then dies off before falling back.

I've just offloaded a few more Persimmon at 50% profit & invested the proceeds into adding more BP.

Unless there's disastrous news regarding BP, i usually look to buy in below 460p & sell out at 535p plus (that's if there's a quick SP rise & no news inciting further SP increases are probable).

I look to buy/add BP under 470p & sell them over 530p just because investor sentiment stops them climbing to 600p.

I've just added a few more BP today after top slicing some profits from Persimmon.

Can't see why this is below 500p !?

SP rises & falls are mainly due to market & investors sentiment.

I said a while back that these were overpriced at around the 3000p mark & I couldn't see any value or reason to purchase them. Needless to say, some folk decided I was wrong and panned my opinion & stated the only way was up !

I started buying property shares & trusts after they'd crashed.

Now I have the dilemma of when to sell the rest of these, but things aren't looking too bad at the moment.

@Porche1946 - do you ever post any positive comments on here or are you well under the "doom & gloom" cloud ?

While i don't see massive excitement for the U.K market, i do see value in plenty of ftse shares & decent yields on offer too.

Personally, i think the U.S market has been overvalued for a while & yet.... folk still rave about it !

As a certain Mr Buffet once said "Be fearful when others are greedy & be greedy when others are fearful".

I've recently bought into Pru & think it should be a decent recovery play.

The dividend yield isn't the highest, but that can be a good thing & it looks well covered going forward.

I'll keep adding monthly, but won't go crazy, as i already own plenty of LGEN.

They were around 2285p when I thought it's time to snap up some more. My first cash transfer attempt failed, so I was a few minutes late.

I added this morning at just over 2300p & I can imagine quite a few others have too.

I tried to buy below 2300p, but couldn't get it done in time.

I may be wrong about this, but after visiting Oban last year, i bought a box containing a selection of 3 small bottles (20cl) of Oban whisky.

One of the bottles was their 18 year old & i opened it last night.

I found it to be very drinkable & if they made 70cl bottles available in the U.K at a reasonable price, i'm pretty sure it would sell (i was told 70cl bottles aren't for sale in the U.K at the distillery shop)

I usually prefer my drams to be at least 46% abv, but this was absolutely lovely to drink at 43% abv.

So c'mon Diageo, put 70cl bottles of Oban 18 for sale in the U.K for a while & see how it goes ! i'll certainly buy (at the the right price point).

I've decided to buy a couple of grands worth at 707p the other day. I could of bought more, but i already own a substantial holding in LGEN & that pays a decent dividend (at the moment).

The Prudential dividend looks to have scope for plenty of growth going forward. If Pru stays at these lower levels i'll add more monthly in my ISA as long as there's no really bad news.

As an avid whisky drinker/collector & Diageo shareholder, i hope Diageo doesn't hike it's prices on certain bottles any further than it already has !

Around 5 years ago i paid around £95 for a bottle of Talisker 18 yr old & the bottle is nearly double that price now. Seasoned whisky drinkers know when they're being ripped off & will steer clear of overpriced bottlings (it's been talked about over the last 18 months).

I try to trade BP by buying in below 465p & selling out at over 530p. Personally, i think BP should be trading between 550-600p.

I was buying Shell during the pandemic between 880 - 1200p & sold out at 2500p (it's now over 2800p). Plenty of brokers put Shell in the 3000-3500p range & that just makes me think BP is undervalued at this price.

I can't blame anyone buying BP at these prices & enjoying a near 5% dividend yield.
