Decided to use the last available cash in my ISA this morning & managed to buy more BEN at 29.5p (First in under 12p)
I'll never be a millionaire with my investments, But a certain gent could well receive a nice bottle of single malt for putting this in my direction.
Let's hope this goes as well as we think it can.
I was lucky enough to buy in at under 12p & am in a quandary as to let my investment ride or add more (something i don't like doing at much higher prices than my original stake).
Some of the numbers put forward by more experienced investors on here & the Ten Baggers f/b group are astounding & make me wonder why this hasn't hit 60-75p already ?
Never mind 11p, as 32p still seems a great buy in price.
Good luck to all invested here.
Just read the article featured in the Midas column (Mail on Sunday).
Not invested here, But I like the lstory going forward & the dividend cover too.
I decided to sell the TEP shares I.purchased earlier this year at around the 1020p mark. When TEP drops to around 1000p it's always worth buying. The SP could well climb into the 1400p range from here & for those holding i hope it does. I've cashed in my profits & added more IMB for the double 48p dividends over the next 3 months.
GLA
I work for JCB & our first prototype hydrogen machines are about to be exhibited (not in production yet). We're also starting to produce electric machines too.
PHE needs to get its ar** into gear to be honest !!!
It's not just VOD = BT has been hammered down too, So at these prices i'll keep adding Vodafone in my monthly ISA subscription. Sooner or later other sectors will fall out of favour & telecoms will rise once more :)
After selling off some recently purchased oil stocks for ggod profit, i decided to add some more Unilever & JUP today.
7.1% dividend yield on JUP will do.
Am i correct in thinking that if a company buys back tens or hundreds of millions of its own shares, then the dividend should (in theory) be easier to payout ?
I never thought of a placing, but i thought the SP had gone above being any value. On that note i could only see a reversal of the SP (Unless major news of big increases in turnover, profits or dividends was announced)
Simple value investing really.
I could of stayed in & made more out of the rising SP, But it reached the point i wanted to get out quite quickly & there were other stocks i wanted to invest in, as i thought there was more value in them :)
Not really shrewd - I just didn't see value as the SP climbed higher than when i sold out.
Also, when the SP of a company keeps climbing without news of massive % increase in its turnover, profits or dividends then investor sentiment changes & those in at lower prices sell out.
I never saw any placing coming, Just a reversal of the climbing SP that had climbed too high IMHO.
I remember buying bbox at around 80p during the covid crash & set my usual target price of 170p. Obviously I sold out at that price & was surprised when i recently looked at the SP to find it in the 230's. My immediate thought was that a reverse in the SP was on the cards, though I doubt this will drop to a point where I'll dive back in again.
Fuel panic, Brent crude oil at around $80 a barrel, my RDSB shares climbing & luckily i added a few weeks ago plus have been re-investing my dividends & i walk to work, so i'm not drastically impacted by fuel price hikes.
Thank you to the selfish panic buyers :)
Silver lining comes to mind :D
