Vistry is another company that's actually been making a profit & is now receiving the doomsday treatment.

I remember lumping into IMB & BATS during the covid crash while plenty were saying it was the end of the line for tobacco companies & look where their SP's are today.

Put it this way.... you're better of buying Vistry at 290p than those who bought at 690p not so long ago !

After "tentatively" buying in recently, I decided to add more today. This should be a decent long-term hold at these levels.

@Clarkcp - the BOE is correct in not reducing interest rates, as the inflation target was set at 2% & it hasn't come down to that figure.

Rates were too low for too long years ago & that has made things worse.... it helped house prices rise to stupid levels, putting more strain on people's disposable income.

After watching this for a short while... I decided to buy some REL yesterday & added more this morning after reading the RNS. The drop seems overdone (but you never know with the U.K market).

I've decided to get back in today after staying out for a while. I used to wait for TEP to drop to around 1000p & sell out at around 1400p (those days are gone).

I'm not surprised Poundland are to close more stores !

Only people daft enough to think they're getting value shop there. Plenty of items are cheaper than (what looks to be) the same item in the supermarkets because they're actually smaller & offer no real value. Leases/ rents on buildings keeps going up & smaller stores will struggle.

In our local town, the Poundland store closed last year & just a few doors down the B&M store expanded a few years ago.

My elderly father loved Poundland, as he thought a 300g box of Kellogg's crunchy nut cornflakes at just over £2 was better value than the 840g box on offer at £4 in the supermarket.... bless him.

I decided to reinvest the dividends i received over the Christmas period into DEC this morning at 987p.

Anyone else reinvest dividends in DEC when it drops below 1000p ?

I just checked with HL & i've not received mine yet.

I've added a few more recently. These aren't that much higher than they were during the Covid pandemic & i can't see where Greggs warranted such a decline in its SP.

Time will tell !

The shares i sold close to 100p have been bought again at these lower levels. It would be nice to think these would gradually approach 140p in the next 12 months, but the antics of U.K stock market makes that seem like a distant dream.

Well done to those of us who recently topped up. Every time DEC drops into the 900's i top up. At the moment, I'm taking profits in the 1300's. DEC is now one of the larger holdings in my pf (along with IMB). I think it's undervalued & am happy to hold/trade & take juicy dividends.

It could well be, but i bought a decent position as a % of my portfolio & don't really want to be paying 10% more for them. I was also hoping JD Sports would drop back to the low 80's again, but not to be.

After being in receipt of over £1k of dividends this week, i was hoping Greggs would stay around or below 1600p, so i could top up on my recent purchase of Greggs shares. Curse the rise !

I can remember buying RWA not that long ago around 400p. I sold out before 700p & it went higher than that.

It makes me wonder why recruitment is suffering while western stockmarkets are flying near to their highs. Is it a sign that a crash is coming or is RWA now oversold.

Not long ago, the B&M store near to us (Uttoxeter) expanded & now the Poundland store just a few doors away is closing down. As i recently purchased BME i'm hoping this will increase the takings in this store & may this continue around the country.

I've decided to take a position in Greggs today. It's nearly 50% down from its highs and (in my eyes) Greggs now looks undervalued. At least the management are looking to grow & improve the business, so let's hope it pays off.

We know markets & investor sentiment can work in mysterious ways, but buying UKW at these prices is pretty much akin to buying £1 for 80 pence.
