Can you imagine the argument that the locals want to make sure they can earn a living when SOLG (according to the PEA) has already stated that they will offer a profit share to employees?

Shady character. I don't see how he can win the argument. Apart from a number of vague claims about himself, the self appointment as local community speaker and the claim that the government lied about his past illegal activities, he claims that if the mines belong exclusively to the local community, then he and his alleged following would be in favour of mining. Now, considering that in absence of proper investing the only outcome of mining in Ecuador has been illegal artisanal mining, how are they going to dig up Cascabel 2km down?
Also, he says that illegal mining developed because there were no jobs. How is he going to counter the argument that SOLG has invested in local communities and has given most of the jobs to Ecuadorian?
I abviously agree that local communities must benefit from economic development brought in my foreign investment but this is not going to go anywhere.

It must be really frustrating being on the other side of the filter, screaming rubbish when no one is paying attention and can hear you. Let's keep the filter on, hopefully the pest will leave soon.
