Now, on a potential positive note, we are at the same low levels as the lowest level we have had in recent times (19th Dec 2018 and before that it was 2016). Hopefully the market does not push us lower than that, and hopefully we may have completed an ABC type correction and the next move is up. Nonetheless we need a catalyst, quite obviously.

One has to question whether they are spending less in preparation for hard times to come, considering that a few months back we seemed to be on the verge of greatness and now we are not sure about the next step.
Cutting back on expenses linked to fostering growth is not exactly reassuring.
It would be really good if management had the decency to share their view of what is going on.

Jerry, companies like Blackrock, Elliot Advisors and many others will be all over SOLG.
While it's obviously very complex to work out a full plan and its financing, that's something these guys do for a living.
As long as the plan to production describes a credible path to cash generation that is sufficient to serve the interest, I doubt that SOLG will find it difficult to raise the money they need.
But what do I know, I am only the eternal Italian glass half full guy.

SOLG have to try to get funding via debt to reduce the chances or size of future dilutions and protec themselves form the risk of not receiving sufficiently appealing offers, and at the same time the majors have to try to stop SOLG so that they can buy the company at a lower price.
In the end, if SOLG makes progress with the debt funding, it forces the majors to pay a premium and finally resolve our issue.
I don't think it's very complicated, but it takes time to unfold.

My take:
1) Strategically, SOLG have been very careful drawing lines that could not be crossed, which is giving them time to line up the ducks for maximum effect once a proper corporate event can take place;
2) Tactically, they are not publishing information they are not legally mandated to publish in order to keep prices depressed and help buy CGP at the lowest possible price, whether the buyer is SOLG, NC or BHP or anyone else;
3) Once 2 is achieved, SOLG is in a strong position to negotiate palatable selling terms and we are all happy.

If any of this is remotely plausible, I take comfort that the company is managed with a real view to maximize shareholders returns.

bm3121uk, if you rely on a BB rather than communication from the company itself, you are in for a lot of distorted opinions, like yours pretty much.
For those who are in touch with the SOLG management, and within the constraints of what they can and cannot disclose at any point in time, it seems more likely that work is in progress to secure good progress on all fronts.
Now whether the company is good enough to achieve the goals it is pursuing it's a different story, but the cheap conspiracies are just that, cheap and conspiracies.

Any expectations about the 20th Sep AGM?
I would imagine that they will present at least something of interest, out of hte many positive updates that they have not bee very forthcoming with lately.

That chart basically suggests that is the tine to buy.

I didn't think I would buy more SOLG shares, but at this level I am considering topping up. It must be an easy 2-300% profit over no more than 1 year, methink.

I just came back form two nice weeks of holiday, California up and down and then Hawaii. I promised myself I would also get to the end of Route 66 in Santa Monica, as I stated in an old post here a year or two ago, sort of lucky charm for future Solg price movements.
I left with the price at 26.92 and I came back with the price at 26.85, so no material change.
Nonetheless, the bb has gone crazy and the usual and the new doomers and gloomers have taken control of the flow here.
For those like me, long term holders and fact finders, two weeks of volatility have been inconsequential, so a lesson learnt, look at the fundamentals, support it with TA where and when applicable, but don't waste you time with the noise.
Wasted time never comes back.

...SOLG could have position itself to prove the resource and sell it for 60-80p a year ago or this year, the fact that NM is so relaxed (in the last video intereview that was) about the low share price, he must really have in mind a very high target price for whenever it is that we might get there.

Solgold has been asked to include these areas in ENSA because an offer is being put together for ENSA as opposed to the entire SOLGOLD, Solgold has agreed, and an offer is going to arrive before year end.
One needs to stay optimistic, right?

Not that I fancy 50p as the end game, but if we get an offer at 50p at least we are in a better position than 28p....
