@cooncan, markets move two ways, this fall comes after a good rise form 10p. Tens of thousands in, just some thousands out.

If the 16th March low is the beginning of W3 and the 29th April peak is w1 of W3, then today's low touching the 200EMA could be the C in the retracement and what comes next is a move upwards.
The 200EMA is just below the 38.2% retracement from the 10p to 31p wave so technical it is acceptable that we are done going down.
Of course much is happening to SOLG in the fundamental sense, so the chart only describes how the market collectively is reacting to those events, which often happens within some recurring patterns.

Gervaise Heddle, whom I have met and spoken to, and comes across (to me at least) as a competent guy who knows his place, has taken a very different approach to the GGP positioning and the relationship with the majors.
If Nick Mather had taken the same approach we might well be priced at double the current price and already digging some of the other many tenements.
NM's obstinancy with becoming a producer is his aspiration, not the reason why we invested in the first place and supported the share price before the institutional investors came on board.

Golden cross was on the 19th may, the price is still above the 20 day EMA and in a pennant with volume decreasing, the whole thing just looks to me like mounting a case for a positive breakout as soon as we get over 28p. As soon as the price moves in sync with volume growth, next thing we know the price is 38p. IMHO, DYOR.

Agreed, I think there are some good top up opportunities, SOLG being one of them, but also GLR, GGP, BCN, ARS.

@L2analyst, are you thinking about a breakout from the pennant's upped trendline and target price of around 38.30?

I stopped counting the years when I was young so I am still 20something at heart. Great investment SOLG, hold some good amount and had traded some in the past, current P&L positive and in the 6 digits so I cannot complain.
However, like any investment, time is a meaningful variable so one has to consider how long it takes to multibag and we certainly have not enjoyed a particularly smooth ride since NM decided he was not going to sell. The externalities have not helped of course, from the Ecuadorian revolts to the trade war to Corona, but we would still struggle without them. I still hold that we cannot seriously look at those beautiful valuations we like to dream about as long as we struggle to get anywhere close to the previous peak, let alone get passed it, considering the amazing good news that we keep receiving. I doubt that NM's aspiration to leave a legacy in 20 years fits with a speculator's view when he/she invests money in highly volatile equity markets for SMEs, or maybe it's just me, I would have been happy with a sale at 50-60p two years ago when he could probably sell it around that level.

I sold almost all GGP myself, the real trade was between 0.5p and 9p in my opinion.
SOLG has enjoyed a great speculation phase back in 2017, then suffered a classic orphan phase made worse by the uprising in Ecuador, the USA-China trade war, a low copper price and ultimately COVID-19. In my opinion we are past the worst price action so it's a good time to get in if you haven't when the price collapsed to 10p. Definitely a 40p+ game now, likely a 50p+ game, with some luck a 60p+ game. I still view anything above that a low delta trade but for those with a more positive view and a longer time horizon this is a potential multi-bagger.

Either way, if companies like GGP are thriving, there is no reason why ARS cannot do the same. The macro picture has an effect on the company, but a much bigger effect would have a successful ARS corporate event. The market is currently not pricing in the re-rate, so one has to assume that a deal is still a relatively low delta event.
