Me bangin head on table. Drill 2 hit the intrusion dead on ie it missed the mineralised core. It’s not going to have top grades. But it has solid commercial grades of tier 1 pcd quality as least so far.
As for hole 3 and 4 we’ve been thru this it’s exactly because of the pad 2 delay. They started hole 3 before the first drill from pad 2 an d the holes are numbered chronologically

Despite numerous companies drilling in Ecuador no company has drilled anything that compares to hole 1 porvenir since alpala was discovered. It's that simple.

I still think it's highly premature to make assumptions about either is hueca or blanca.
We know they are prioritising assays as the ALS lab is inundated. My guess is that they have one hole of La Hueca and no assays from blanca yet.
It's all hands on porvenir atm and the PFS drilling for alpala.

They don't just continue to drill hole 3...they would terminate it if they found nothing and they wouldn't extend it from the initial 500m.
Hole 2 went through the initial alteration zone then the quartz shell, then the lower grade under the pyrite shell..surely you would only ever get decreasing grades in such a scenario? At least to its current assay depth?
I agree with hole 4 it should intersect the very rich vertical column on the western side.
I don't think we are far apart, but I would characterise all the drills so far as being as good as they could realistically be.
The assays up to and inc hole 4 will really tell the tail but hole 1 having 900m of mineralization ending in the best grades of copper, having clearly not hit any of the main targets is amazing and world class and can only point to a significant PCD.

're moly potential I actually agree and made that point when discussing why they stopped hole 1. The moly and copper were high enough to warrant continuing hole 1 imo, in the rare hope and expectation that the copper and moly would be high..

A few observations, questions as I am always happy for different interpretations :)
're hole 3, if you only think the first 150m has mineralization why have they continued to drill to 600m
're hole 2 my interpretation is that the higher quartz values indicated the quartz pyrite shell which as you will know covers the lower quality mineralization of the intrusion, if so then the drill grades in the intrusion from 2 are actually good don't you think? 're the moly at the base of the drill 2 assays recovered so far, that would indicate probably the earlier intrusion, as we know there are multiple intrusions due to the stockwork. Which would allow for the higher upper in the secondary.
Allowing for this and the mag anomaly we would expect the mineralization zones to be to nearer to pass 2,3 and 4.
What's your opinion on the only at the end of hole 1? I've been perplexed as it's actually away from the surface only reading and not where you would expect, unless maybe a secondary smaller, deeper PCD i.e a different only halo to the main porvenir?

TOS, it depends...But essentially if there is 500k shares at a certain price, then it means alot of buying is needed to break it, above and beyond any sells. Traders will therefore often sell. Also anybody who wants to sell their shares via DMA, needs to put a price in below the block, or wait.

It's not a problem if they are really DMA amounts, which i think these are (the 38p block is currently being eaten up).
The problem are the ones that appear, but never get filled. We had a few of those 2m, if i remember. But within 72hrs of reporting them to the FCA they vanished, never filled.....

It's said many times and might be right or wrong, but all the mms are on the bid with a price range of only .25p...it often means news, if things are leaky...

They would have changed addict and started to change before the bid such as the appointment of a head of HR. The cgp rubbish was mostly false and ignored.
The simple fact is that to get better conditional finance they need better governance so it had to be done and now is a good time to do it. All companies from BHP to Rio are improving their governance atm it's flavour of the times and more funds and IIs are expecting it.
I am not saying Nick wants to do it. But it was always going to happen at this stage.

Yep it's all down to the yapping of CGP.
Nothing to do with the need to look as professional as possible because we are going to need to raise 2-3bn, or the advancement of the project to PFS and DFS. Nothing to do with wanting to attract more institutional investors for potential placing next year or the fact that the market cap of the company has increased over 50% this year to make it a 3/4 of a bn company. Nothing to do with the fact that most companies go through this transformation...

This has nothing to do with cgp, it's a stage that a 1bn value company needs to go through. Demanded by markets and investors...for CGP it was just a cheap shot.

Even I am prepared to admit that solg had a black hole here..it's good that it's been addressed and the speed is accelerating.
It can only be a positive for shareholders as it becomes more professional, gets more institutional support and makes the company a brighter light of the mining world where it gains more respect and is seen as real company.

Pad 2 drill 3
Pad 1 drill 4
However after the delay
Drill 4 moved upto 3 and 3 down to 4.

Hope 3 is not the core finding hole, that's hole 4.
Hope 3 is a shallow outer edge finder. It was only every progged to find 100-200m of mineralisation and copper at .2% or so beyond that...to still be drilling at 600m indicates they are still finding enough to justify it, which is amazing.

I have been saying this for days and not just because of the results today :).

Quady, I appreciate that, as the only would be an indicator that it's likely a larger ball or a small halo above the intrusion, but you would normally stop the drill when you encounter moly and decreasing copper , visuals might have indicated this, but the assays beg to differ.
Now they don't know where the copper decline boundary is, whether it's a large moly halo(which is possibly from the ppm figures) or simply a moly shell on the intrusion.
Pad 3 will be entering from that direction imo, but they won't be sure what dip to use as they don't know the answers above.

The truth is imo they thought from visual and initial xrf that they reached the moly copper point and stopped, but the assays say otherwise...moly halos can still contain economic copper, although this is rare, but if it does it's a shed load more copper than expected.
