Pensana signs a Memorandum of Understanding for 25% of production



Pensana (PRE.L) has signed a memorandum of understanding for offtake of 25% of annual production to supply critical raw materials for production of magnet materials needed to support the burgeoning demand for electric vehicles and offshore wind.

Pensana is extremely pleased to be entering into this strategic relationship by supplying Rare Earth oxides from the Saltend processing hub in the freeport Hull, we will continue to develop the independent and sustainable supply chain for low carbon rare earth products to be produced in Europe.

Pensana recently broke ground at the Saltend Chemical Park in the Humber Freeport UK with high-value raw materials supplied from the hydroelectric-powered state-of-the-art mine at Longonjo in Angola.

You’re not getting it. There will be no ATF grant. It has never had any form of approval at any stage. Contrary to the Company’s claims there has never been any stage of the process termed “Stage 1 progression”. It was extremely misleading of the Company to ever have indicated some type of approval and indeed this probably did not help their cause. In any event there can be no reason to create a link between a company that has nothing more than some mining rights in Angola with the transformation of automotive engineering in the Uk. It was always a somewhat fanciful long shot on the part of the Company, I am sure any balanced person would at least agree with that!

The Pentagon has halted deliveries of Lockheed Martin Corp.’s F-35 after finding an alloy used in magnets for pumps on the fighter jet was made in China.

The F-35 program office “temporarily paused the acceptance of new F-35 aircraft to ensure the F-35 program’s compliance” with defense regulations “pertaining to specialty metals,” Defense Department spokesman Russell Goemaere said in an email.

He said the pause won’t interfere with operations of F-35s already delivered to the US military and partners abroad because “the magnet does not transmit information or harm the integrity of the aircraft and there are no performance, quality, safety or security risks associated with this issue.”

“Once the issue was discovered,” the F-35 program office “found an alternative source for the alloy that will be used in future turbomachines,” Goemaere said, and deliveries of F-35s were halted as a precaution.

Lockheed said in a statement that “we are working with our partners and DoD to ensure contractual compliance within the supply chain.” The contractor said the F-35 remains safe for flight, “and we are working with the DoD to resolve the issue as quickly as possible to resume deliveries.”

Examples of companies seeking to obtain funds from the ATF include Pensana, which owns some scrub land in an African abstention country and which is seeking planning permission for a toxic processing plant on farmland in East Yorkshire. The company does not have anything to process, has no proprietary magnet technology and no production experience but it optimistic that the UK government will write them a very large cheque.
