The EU's decision to exclude UK airlines from full participation in the ETS is just another example of protectionism from the EU (we haven't left yet) and unfortunately for flybmi at the wrong time for them as they were trying to secure new contracts in Europe.
They can't control the cost of fuel so they try and make UK airlines less competitive by any means within their control.
And they want to blame it on Brexit, this is the big get out clause being used more and more.
It will all rebound on them, they haven't got a particular good record on their own domestic carriers.

Brexit is a once in a generation opportunity to get rid of one of the EU’s most inefficient policies the CAP. Its only there to support the inefficient French, now they are all jumping on it and its being abused by anyone who can get away with it.
Result is the consumer pays.

Get a grip CC they've been promised the CAP equivalent untill at least 2020 and probably a good time beyond, that should give em enough time to start using all their acreage instead of getting paid to leave it fallow.
In cast you don't know the majority of British farmers voted to leave the EU even though they get nearly £3b in subsidies from the EU.
Even you know CC deep down the CAP is long overdue major reforms.

You're absolutely right about Brexit Suzy but it's good to have the debate. The other thing about Brexit is that no matter what my views are I can't change the eventual outcome be it a so-called hard, customs union, Norway option, Canada plus, delay, second referendum or even remain.
On the other hand, I have some control over my investment in BEM I have options to buy more, sell some, sell the lot, that part is in my control.
I can't control what the outcome will be regarding the concession.

Some are easily offended (I'm not advocating personal insults) if they see negativity posted about something they have put their money into, and yes there is a filter if they wish to use it, I don't.

Take lbjj, he's been invested here and previously stated that if BEM gets the go-ahead he will invest again, so he (maybe) has a vested interest here. But you can't deny all his contributions/prophecies of late, actually, the last couple of years, have been correct, in so far as there has been no actual decision on the permit.
There are many people, on these sites that continually post comments, and you get the impression that they've never made an investment in their life, but it's an open forum.

Saying that I must say the regular posters on here have kept an interest going especially during recent long periods of known, no news, at the very least we've learnt a bit about Swedish politics.

Debate, opinions, discussion, speculation or argument will always be ongoing, before, during and after the event…. especially after, that's why we're here, isn't it?

Wouldn't it be ironic if the ‘new’ Government returned this back to the mining inspectorate, for what you may ask? Who knows but remember it is the Mining Inspectorate that usually grants Exploitation Concessions in Sweden, not the Government, so I'm sure they can think of something if they put their minds to it.

We all know now (not when it started) that this process has been a farce, IMO a bit like how the Swedes arrived with its new Government. It is now a question as to how long this farce can continue and when politics are involved anything can happen regardless of the law.

A discussion/debate with all parties of the same views is not a debate, it's a rally, convention, assembly call it what you want but it ain't a debate with opposing views.
Another reason not to filter anyone, negative comments can be beneficial you'll never learn anything with tunnel vision.

There's always a valuation/price for everything, it's usually what someone is prepared to pay but sometimes that figure doesn't agree with all the interested parties. Regarding investors in BEM, for us its all in the SP and at what price you are prepared to sell.
In that respect it doesn't really matter what current valuation estimates are, especially at this stage, it's impossible to quantify.
I get the impression that many investors are 'locked in' here and don't want to sell at a loss and when or if it reaches their exit they'll be gone, they won't be worried about future valuations.
Saying that, I welcome everyone's input, wether they have 12 or 12,000 posts. It's a popular misconception on chat boards that the more posts you make, makes you the more qualified.

Only encountered one problem with limit orders on HL and that is trying to amend/stop a limit order on the Android app.
Perhaps it was just me, but otherwise regarding limit orders, its all good.

FYI CC we are prevented from signing any trade deals (this is a directive from the protectionist EU) while we are still member's.
We haven't left yet, more's the pity.

A rise of over 15% on the back of yet another article about BEM and Kn/Ks is welcome, but it's no different or importantly no more accurate than previous publication's. Why use an assumption of 600 mt, a figure first banded about by good old Clive all those years ago. We all know this is pure speculation, but is constantly favoured by individuals when trying to put a future valuation on BEM.
As I said a rise is welcome in so much that it might generate more interest and more will become aware of future potential.

Don't forget it's Thursday tomorrow...... there may be more to this rise than this report.

As the title of this thread states, the UK has concerns for the European variety of poorer countries, which seem to be expanding of late.
Just another example of the foresight shown by the informed electorate who voted to leave this failing experiment.
We can't be dragged down anymore, successful nations seize the opportunities which we would never be able to do as long as we are part of this sprawling slow motion car crash that is happening before our eyes.
It's a pity that some minorities are still blinded to what is slowly but surely unfolding across the channel.
If you want to belong to a federal "two speed" Europe (how will that work??) the simple answer is to join them, you have plenty of countries to choose from but not this one.

That's why the EU would accept something along those lines as they would remain in control.
The one thing they fear most is that the UK prospers after Brexit.
Labours plan would prevent that from happening.

Basically they can't raise rates, they stopped QE too soon, its everyone else's fault and we'll wait and see and hope for the best......as Yosser Huges said "I could do that, give us a job!!!"

Born give it a rest, no need to divide and rule as you say. Just look closer and see what's really happening, slowly and surely the EU is losing it as they realise what it will mean to them when we leave.
Each region is trying to look after their own interests, the fun is just beginning.
