Any one had access to the article on Wood Group by The Herald today.

We must all realise that in the event of a full cash takeover by Sidara or any other suitor that may or may not emerge that all our shares will be handed over whether we like it or not.

Cash equal to SP aquitition price will then be auto payed to us. We will relinquish all control of any shares we hold on completion of takeover process and will not hold any WG shares thereafter.

This process can and maybe finalised during any suspension of shares , maybe. We should all be fully aware of these facts and invest accordingly with this knowledge in mind.

I have a target price of 240p for LGEN

also have a re rated price target for Rolls Royce of 850p

Both which are easily achievable.

Meco you are correct. Complicating your trading with tricky trading pre XD will come with extra costs.

You are bringing in outside influences that might bring damage and regrets.As I have mentioned prior on this subject I always hold before XD and may add if fall is excessive XD.I will then always bank a profit on SP recovery.

The secret of clever investment in shares is to build up a strong cash firewall to protect yourself against events such as we are experiencing now due to tariff turmoil and any future huge market falls.Also cash at hand is great when markets fall big.

A strong cash firewall will help you psychologically as well as financially because big drops can hurt.

Keep It simple, that's the way to go and bank lots and lots of little and big profits as you go.This stragedy will make you a winner.

Hi Throne, there has been reports that The EU will cave and negotiate reciprocal tariffs with President Trump.If They do then this will be viewed as positive sentiment for financial institutions and investors small and large.

Terryd has replied with a single word ' sentiment ' which is correct.

Reports are not always correct.I have topped up big on my main divi payers over the last few days namely, Rolls Royce, Aviva and lgen.

Lgen fantastic divi levels right now ,just too good to miss.Aviva is a different machine now due to a great recovery due to Amanda Blanc and her stewardship.

Trumpy Tariff turmoil will go on some yet.I will add further if Amy more big falls it FTSE 100.

When tariff turmoil settles financials will recover fast and those that get past their nerves will be rewarded well for being brave.
