The FCA will have the final say by issuing that there is nothing to find here , issue fines for wrongdoing and then pass any investigation on to the more serious offices of the SFO.If they find shenanigans they will want their pound of flesh.Wood can afford a pound of flesh and continue.

I have just been tempted to top up on my JD sports holding.I have detected that there are at least a couple of JD sports holders here on this board. I am invested in JD sports for SP growth and target price of 120p which is easily achievable if current evidence of good governance and sales continue.

I also have an idea that JD sports is ripe at the mo for a takeover.Any hint of a takeover will rocket the SP to around a 50% gain with a takeout of up to ripe 200p.

Any JD sports holder here have any thought on possible JD takeover.

The Current investigation into Wood irregularities might well be passed on to the SFO which would be of a more serious nature depending on what is uncovered.

The FCA and SFO work seamlessly together and for sure will share any relevant information between the 2 offices.This circus could have further to run yet.

The fact is that Sid will not table a concrete solid bid for Wood until they see fair value in the buy.Sid can offer any amount above or below the current guidance only buy at 35p ( plus said cash injection circa 340m?)

A company can be taken over while suspended but I suspect that the FCA have maybe lobbed the said spanner .

It reminds me during education holidays when we were kids around 17 to 18 years old .We the 4 of us would share a taxi to the local car auction.We would each bid and buy a car each.We would home our car ,clean it up and get a spanking new MOT so as to get full value and profit from our weekly endeavours.We would then go back to college with cash to flash ,oh what a time we had.

Wood is having its own MOT so as to show true value to Sid. Sid if doing good diligence as I expect they are doing will only bid if said MOT shows true value in the buy.They might move on the price who knows.If the MOT fails they could walk too.

Can't see both engines failing simultaneously unless a software defect initiates a stall.
