RE: Disposals have hit31 Oct 2025 15:31
Quite right frogs Sid are still here. Results seemed to have not settled anything here and deffo opened a new bucket full of worms to discuss.
The results that have been produced are not catastrophic as was feared by many and expected by some.I myself was of a mind that the debt levels would have reached unmanageable levels without very serious restructure very damaging to shareholders.
Think of any business as a house of cards that there is lots of separate different components that hold the house up, as in contracts, debt control, global head winds, and of course the quality of the personnel in charge .
The big important cards are at the bottom decks ,the foundations. The house will stand a good number of low ranking cards being removed.
As in the case of Petrofac a huge value card in the form of a contract cancelled to the tune of billions in value has razed the house thus a catastrophe for common shareholders.
HY25 info is not great and not showing any future guidance on debt or bottom line which might prove to be problematic, but not a killer.
Wood has excellent contracts value but only if they are well negotiated and bring good profit income to pay down debt levels.
The house of Wood still stands s long as no one pulls a huge card. The hope is that El Sid doesn't pull one.
Best of luck.
Am I the best.
Just maybe.
