I am leading towards JO with his realistic thoughts on the end game here. The truth is that Wood Group has engineered its own downfall. They pulled a rabbit out of a hat trick when raising circa $ 1.9 billion dollars with sale of Built Environment Consulting business around 2022 I believe. This rabbit did not get Wood going again.

If the rabbit trick failed I don't see now a few hundred million raised with sales minus expenses is going to do the trick now either. There has been accountancy scandals, poor contract signings, negative free cash flow since the dumb move Amec Foster Wheeler Acquisition that bolted on huge debt and big legacy corruption fines.Sheer stupidity.

Maybe another rabbit appearance, but I doubt it.

Crikes Icey you really are as dumb as I know you are. I said I was negotiating during a meeting with family members . Negotiations require more than one side to be present.

Any one with a decent level of intelligence will have presumed that we were negotiating related costs on a property myself and my son have recently added with a tradesperson during lunch. I may discuss with a close family member , never negotiate. So my numbers do add up.

Wood fundamentals are destroyed and have not had positive cash flow for a good number of years. He has flipped to board bashing because it will generate a few ticks.

It is the mantra of losers when confronted with levels of intelligence far exceeding their own who hate winners .

Losers call out experts as idiots without any evidence of rhyme or reason .

Hi PANG.

You need to get facts correct before engaging. I intimated that BP is a sitting duck target at current sp levels. Also the economic and world government agenda is changing for the good on oil .

Any big beast wanting to take over BP will have to pay north of 7quid a share for BP.My target of 500p is an easy here.

My bet is on Shell making a move on BP during 2026.

If BP goes sub 4 quid a pop again I might bid myself.

Am I the best , maybe just maybe. Wifey certainly thinks so.

Added more BP yesterday and today.I have a price target of an easily achievable 500p .Any one else adding too.

With the sp at these levels BP is a sitting duck to be bought out. The sp will fizz big if there is an approach.

Who might have the big bucks to take out BP, Exon,a Saudi company ,Aramco maybe.

My bets on Shell.They would be a great suitor .All in all my BP punt will work out just great as long as the oil leaks stay plugged. A deep water Horizon type catastrophe is always a risk here as well as UK government theft of profits.

I have consideration of around 20% of my portfolio in BP and happy of the risk while recouping of a decent level of dividend until target sp of 500p is achieved.

There has been lots of cases where class acts in suing wrongdoing companies have resulted in success for shareholders . Royal bank of Scotland is an example for deceiving shareholders and illegality. Enron too.

PFC has done plenty wrong .

Shareholders need to form an action group and get expert advice. There is plenty of evidence on PFC corruption to get a class action result of share holder and company negligence.

A successful class action may well result in PFC to go down a different refinancing route. All this that is happening now could be suspended if a class action was lodged.

If anyone here wants to make a move , then speed is key.

The situation that share holders will be left with zero equity value at the end game of this horrendous death by a thousand lashes torture is totally ridiculous.

When a company is facing being wiped out or financial restructuring which involves shareholders being wiped out should be illegal.

Shareholders should legally be offered a position in the restructuring plan with an offer of further investment to share in any future recovery of the company win or lose.I am sure that many would take the chance .

I have been a historic holder of pfc and have been watching with a thought of getting back in with a stake in a recovery plan if pfc shares were taken off suspension.

To wipe out share holders seems like a clear act of theft by the a corrupt lot f chancers.Seems like shareholders are going to have to bite the bullet here and move on bless a miracle occurring here.

Keep the faith in yourselves and move on and think about the good things in life.Its only money they say.

Penny, I don't think you are way out on your arithmetic of £1.50 of a fair value bid is far out considering the current 30p valuation plus the cash injection Sid has promised.

What is the current valuation of bid at 30p plus promised cash injection the true value at. Even though they seem to paying it to themselves after takeover.

Does the WG net asset value reflect a 30p per share offer represent fair value??

James,you are correct on this. There are exceptions to hard takeover rules. When mentioning ' exceptional changes' an offer can lapse.

The takeover panel which controls the process may grant a waiver to restrictions under certain circumstances.( Takeover rules are never set in stone).

1. If there has been substantial and material changes in circumstances ( IE. debt growth, loss of contracts ,illegal discoveries, misrepresentation or even serious economic downturn)

2. Shareholder consent.

3. Target company board consent.

This confirms you are correct James and a waiver and new bid is indeed possible. Sid are clever and written in an offer which they are holding the best cards.

Only another card sharp sitting at the table could foil the Sid plan.

James,you may not be wrong.The offer is subject to ' exceptional conditions ' , and if these conditions are not met the offer would automatically lapse.The is also some specifications relating to rule 13.5 of takeover code in the rns pertaining to recommendation.

There are few more fences to be jumped yet for Sid to win this race.At the moment it seems a one horse race and Sid would win at a canter.
