RE: Broker Recommendations11 May 2026 19:30
Hi Clued I have a thought we have discussed thoughts and theories maybe here or maybe on WG board. Hello again if we have and hello too if we haven't. The only reason I sold out on BP after results and guidance is because of Super stupid Labour.A new government is a long way off unless an early GE is announced .
I really was in on BP for the long term because of good divi level and that BP has a really great chance of a super future under current new BP leadership ideas going forward.
Also another plus factor was that rumours of a tie up of some kind, maybe buyout or merger with Shell have persisted over a long period of time.An approach by a suitor would make the SP level shoot up faster than Jock my Yorkshire terrier can get upstairs at bedtime. The strong possibility of another financial hit from Super stupid Labour trumps my holding reasons for SP growth.
I have reasoned that a financial hit to BP profits due to punitive super tax would have a big hit negative for BP sp. For this reason I am not fully off considering adding BP again.
Simply put, my gamble ( because gambling is all we are doing theoretically) is that Super Labour will attack BP profits before any sort of bid or merger realises. Thus creating a huge buying opportunity and me loading up the wheelbarrow.
Regards .

Am I the best in the world ,
Just could be.
Wifey defo thinks so because she is stirring up my favourite home made Jalfrezi and pitta bread washed down with a cold bottle of Poretti. Might well be my lucky night.
