If Wood Group are not receptive to any new bid after a no vote after an approach, then a hostile bid appealing to shareholders bypassing the board is possible and maybe angled via a public tender offer with sweetners , or sweetners and higher sp offer.

This action could result in a proxy battle against the board to discus the tender offer or even a vote to replace certain board members.

Sidara have cleverly interwoven the cash injections to complicate the bid and thus deter any other bidder. The cash injections which Sidara are effectively paying to themselves is really a masterly move I haven't had experience of before.A 35p,45p ,65p or even 70p bid is not realistic in reality if the cash injections are not involved too.

There is a huge difference in RR and WG in that RR operate in a totally different environment to Wood.

RR are in a global growing sector with possible government investment with future energy as smr nuclear.Wood group are in a sector that this current loony government are manically intent on destroying.The energy guy Milliband is obviously insane ,totally nuts and a danger to the security of our country.

As long as labour are in charge with their impossible net zero then all fossil fuel industries here are in a perilous state.

Share holders have the power to request a general meeting to discuss any hostile bid.

A hostile bid would certainly put the moggie with the pigeons.
