By investing in miners we are taking on 3rd party risk in the hopes that a rise in the btc price creates an even larger rise in the miners shareprice.

Unfortunatly with argo on particular we have taken on the 3rd party risk, the value of btc doubled and the shareprice remained largely flat for various reasons.

To me that makes it a poor investment for those who invested in the previous 6 months. Although there are some here that deny it, We also have the very real risk of dilution to kit out Helios.

I was 100% invested until recently, no where near that now, I have made more money elsewhere in a couple of weeks than the previous 6 months here.

Buying btc directly is starting to look attractive when compared with some of the underperformance we have seen.

I've waited quarters, I'm not waiting years. Although I think argo is a good company I don't think thier plans are anywhere near aggressive enough. I won't be adding any more argo shares until the funding situation is known.

I do not want to invest much in a mining company that appears to just be preparing for a crypto winter. I'll invest in it when the winter comes.

I currently have some eth I think I'll also be buying some btc directly too... Might even have a bit of a kucoin basket selection on the go just for some excitement.

K3V, I've refrained from any personal comments on here but you really are coming across as the boards biggest nutcase, great for a laugh though haha.

Now what I actually came here for is the nice bit of vertical movement we're seei g from btc, don't know why but hopefully it can sustain it.. I'm just happier above 60k btc.

If worthless means around $54k per bitcoin then I agree, it it doesn't then I don't think I can agree with the statement based on.... Actual fact.

If it's not under a quid soon and your guarantee is broken, what can we expect from the compensation Al side of the guarantee? The price difference would makes us whole again.

Well, its not armegedon though is it.. For armegedon I have my crossbow and plenty of Silver as it will serve multiple purposes and be more practical than a killo of gold.

Hope you have your water filtration sorted out and food supplies for 3 months and please do make sure youre well defended otherwise me and they boys will just take your stash of 'whatevers' and leave you in your boxer shorts (or worse if course).

BUT, it's OK because it's not armegedon at all so no need to worry.

Yes, still above my sell price of just under 132p the other day.. Its funny isn't it how no one acknowledged that the nonsense spouted about me not being a share holder was proven to be inaccurate. Also funny how the super bullish never post any of thier transaction prices.

I will hold off nuy any more until the funding situation is know for the initial 200mw of Helios.. Ias something that's Purely my opinion based on the blonity video, I think the next round of fund raising will come from Current shareholders but probably as a deal such as for every 2 shares held you can buy one at a discount.. Still dilution but let's the 'little guy' in on the discount.

I'll look at it again at that point because until the financing is know for for that 200mw it's a bit of a ball and chain for me.

That's one ugly sell down.. Hopefully it bounces off 55 otherwise there maybe tears in cornflakes in the morning (from me too).

Thats true to a degree but then I look at the last funding each have done 57mill v 600 million to see the kind of facility for growth they have. I would imagine that if they wanted to either mara or riot could raise enough equity as argos whole market cap.

My concern regarding growth is as I've said in the past, if mara and riot et Al ncrease there hashrate then the global hashrate increases, if argo do not increase as a proportional rate then they will be mining less btc than now.

Being super efficient at mining a smaller number of btc isn't going to help, they will get left behind.. Obviously come the winter that changes and efficiency is more important.. Well kind off.. Even then it means little if no one ever sells a btc as there then isn't a return but that's a differnt debate.

That's completely out of context and I don't know if you saw the original context.

I've never express any joy in the share price dropping, I have recently printed out that I was right after a fall but that was in response to the goading I recived for expressing a viewpoint (which turned out to be right).. I'm sur eyou are referring to time when I said that the 10% increase was noise.. And look.. It is now plenty lower than that point which I also accept is noise.

I took no enjoyment in the share price falling, as I proved earlier I am a shareholder so it would be daft to enjoy the price falling.

Maybe I did take some comfort into being able to demonstrate that I was correct, which I really don't do in normal life but I was given such grief here for saying my opinion that I had to then point out I was actually right.

I think people get to hung up on efficiency especially when it's all hodl.

Even if it was being sold each time the efficiency isn't massively relevant in comparison to other factors.

Take riot (mara could count too) for example, 600milliom funding round complete.

Riot targeting 13eh
Argo targeting 3.7eh or 6.6 eh (60k s19 for 200mw unfunded).

It really doesn't matter if argo is 5% more efficient in its mining costs if they very efficiently only a half or a third of the rival.

Yes it means they have a lower cost base but if you can churn out more btc you can sell just a small amount of the difference to cover the increase in cost base.

It's a nice badge to wear (being the most efficient) and it Definatly comes into play if margins get squeazed and the 'profitability' of mining decreases.

Im going to post a sell trade, firstly because it sits with my plans but also to prove you to be a liar.

People state things as fact on here about other posters when they just don't know and even when they are told they are wrong still perpetuate the lie.

I would ask who are the real trolls and fudder, though who use fact to explain thier opinion or those who just make stuff up and state it like truth.

I'm gong to sell a nice unique number of 12727 shares a minute I have posted this, it should be around £15k or £16ks worth, I will still hold some but not many.

Hopefully it will help put to bed some of the constant drivel that is spouted about me not being a holder and paid deramper (although I wish I could find someone who would pay me to post!).

Ahh that's cool then, I didn't know the history of the setup. If they are just a bit of cherry on top rather than an active current stratigic pursuit then any increase should do us well, especially if there isn't any intention to replace machines.

If eth is anything to go off, that 3 year window might well be 5-7 years too.

I am very interested to see how that pans out with it moving to POS over the next 3years.

It will end all Zcash mini g so will actually kill the income stream, I don't believe we hodl any zcash, I think it's all converted to btc?

Now, if the team are sensible they will hodl the zcash mined and not convert it. They can then stake it in the future.
If the don't hodl any then it would be the end if income stream in 3ish years time so would have a negative affect on the company.

Quite intrigued to see how it will turn out as it would change the business model abit (not in a bad way)

Looks like zcash is moving to Proof of Stake to, if it proves to be successful along with ethereum move to proof of stake then others may follow and in years to come mining may well become obsolete.

It would make all our conversations pretty much redundant on here if btc went POS.. Now don't get me wrong.. I accept that is the nuclear negative stance :-)

Where I was saying to make them more effective was because PW stated that the current s17's have known issues he called them. 'lemons', they can't operate in the heat very well.

All I was saying is by using immersion hopefully it will make them more effective.. Its actually a positive estatement for christ sake.

I just saw btc kiss $60k again, hopefully it holds and builds up over night ready for the morning.
