well I've done it atavist.in a sense i feel like i have,as it were, taken one for the team.i have just finishes listening to the recording of dli launch of mind age.all 63 mins.even doing it over several sessions it is a difficult task. first there is the problem that the the subject matter is,at least to me,stultifyingly boring.even if it were of the most fascinating nature, the experience would be rendered almost excruciatingly lifeless and jejune by the heavily accented and lifeless performances of the presenters, our very own deep, zhavoronkhov and feydor galkin (in fairness galkinnis obviously very enthusiastic but he has tendency to speak for several minutes in an almost incomprehensible accent so that one ends up praying for him to finish. i hasten to stay that these conmments are not made out of some form of prejudice against the origins of the contributors but is simply reflective of how i genuinely found it very difficult to understand what they were saying on many many occasions.perhaps it is just me,but if one is aiming to pitch to english speaking audiences(which is clearly the case)perhaps some form of media representative might be advisable if perspicuity is the aim.
putting aside these(probably unfair)criticisms, what of the actual substance?.to me it was simply a rerun of the previous presentation based on the first ageing clock already in use,but focusing this time on the mind age clock. that's fair enough and i hope it has helped to trigger some additional interest from the businesses they hope to attract.the clear emphasis(indeed the sole focus now apparently)is on business users. there was no indication of what the take up so far has been and questions about cost were fielded to be dealt with by private enquiry.
