nasdaq at 2.30pm gets my vote any of next 4 days.i accept that the actual announcement could be as late as thursday for reasons given by some others but do not expect that in practice .more likely today tomorrow or wednesday.just my opinion.

no i thought it would be too late unfortunately.cant be quite sure as looking at a graph which is not very accurate but looks like it would have been down a few % in the year to december.oh well bigger fish to fry as they say

would have taken a brave person to buy into amp at beginning of week .quoted spread was at one point i think 50%.certainly i wasn't brave or perspicacious enough to have a go.apologies for semi off topic post.as to motif i am of the school of thought that a simultaneous announcement to both markets is the only proper course of action here.i realise this has not been how matters have been dealt with consistently in the past but with such a momentous announcement as this would regard a dual announcement as essential.i expect i shall be proved wrong as things rarely turn out as expected.as long as its an approval i shan't mind.

agree with that sheltie.with 3 trading days to go i see little in the s/p movement to suggest the sort of mega rises on approval which have been suggested by some in the past.i would be delighted with 60p but do agree that the future partnership/licence terms will be the real determinant of the long term s/p action and we can only guess at these.first things first lets get the approval through and then see what happens although i suspect there will be considerable profit taking if we get 60/70p which would be quite understandable

bignose obliged of your comments.i thought the incidence was much lower than 10% but had no opportunity to check it before posting.i am much more comfortable with 1/20 figure .presumably your e mail will be seeking a figure on those lines although suspect that 10% may be some conventional figure to cover say1 to 10% range

bignose well done for getting the actual level of side effects and for proposing to take up the question of updating.for my part despite alquemies assertion that 10%is not particularly worrisome i was somewhat concerned by the figure which i would personally find a bit off-putting.i am sure we must have been given this information before but i have not previously attached any great weight to it.i expect i am being uneccessarilly pessimistic but i certainly think that anything that can be done to de-emphasise the issue of side effects (obviously there are proper medical ethical considerations which cannot be ignored) should be done and an accurate presentation provided

completely agree bignose.wasnt exactly overjoyed to see the last couple of sentences.i can understand why it would be appropriate to include a reference to side effects but surely that should be done in the express context of the degree of likelihood etc .will be interesting to see what other articles say if and when any appear

totally agree sheltie have to be realistic.

no not great for investors holding prior to todays rise and even then they would have been buying in with huge spreads at least in the earlier part of today.my only interest really is as a possible reflection of sentiment towards mtfb,although sympathies to those who have lost out on amp previously.im sure we all know what its like to be in an absolute shocker.
