speaking personally i would be perfectly satisfied with almost making it into the billionaires club,but perhaps its that lack of extreme ambition on my part which condems me always to fall a little short.lol.hopefully an enormous surge in regents s/p (many 1000ds%) will catapult him to achieving his destiny!

very interesting article sidmr.looks like I'm wrong again re listing value but if it really does have the sort of value suggested it does make our current m/c more than a little puzzling.perhaps you or bignose could say how many companies with a full listing have values as low as ours.if the listing valuation point is correct you wouldn't expect there to be many apart from very heavily indebted ones.could be of course that I'm just not looking at this in the right way so happy to hear other views i do take your point about anomalies which may correct over time and hope you are right here

i imagine the current m/c reflects a number of factors including IP sales expectations and HK listing.i have never agreed with the suggestion that the listing itself has significant value .to me a figure of 40c was ridiculously optimistic.if true it would mean that the IPand future sales expectations have a significant negative value!i accept that the listing may have some value but only in certain very special circumstances .personally my guess would be 5 to 10 cents but thats just a guess.whilst the IPdoes i imagine have some value its really to my mind only a function of sales potential .if we cannot sell in quantity then what real value does the IPhave?probably not much imo but i am no scientist or indeed someone with any technical knowledge in these areas so could be completely wrong.for me the value lies in the expectation of future sales,the sales potential.the current sp has fallen because there is no strong belief that we are going to sell in sufficient numbers to command a higher price.if sales news is poor i expect the sp to at best stagnate.if sales look more promising the sp will i hope improve.i personally do not think there is any prospect of a T/O until such time as sales figures indicate strong future potential.al just my opinion.

yes in a way it's quite astonishing.even though some of the news has been somewhat underwhelming in the detail there has actually been quite a bit of news overall but as you say the s/p just keeps going down.for me this means it's all about sales and i only hope the positive tone adopted by romero is accurate.i suppose he wasn't going to say "well we did manage to flog a couple of cans last month so things are looking up" was he! fingers as ever crossed!

personally fred1010 i wouldn't have thought so but there are other possible explanations e.g. trying to put a brave face on things in case iclaprim goes down.again personally i wouldn't put much credence in the alternative explanations as i think if iclaprim does not get approved motif is finished at least in its present incarnation.hence i share what i think was the general inference drawn from the announcement that it was a positive indication of a belief that it will ultimately get FDA approval.i was also encouraged a little by what i took as a mildly positive statement re EMA intentions.just my take and could be completely wrong.we are certainly not out of the woods yet but i do feel a little more optimistic than i did before the rns

ivy thats my take also for what its worth.if the previous examples were not on all fours with the situation here i then would expect the extreme sensitivity here and in particualr the need not to tread on any FDA toes to be the paramount consideration. we shall see

jam2morrow i think your post highlights a very interesting question which i had not really considered before.i have been assuming that we will get no news re the meeting until the official minutes are received by motif.this would accord with the RNS giving the meeting date.however as you point out following the meeting the company will be in possession of extremely market sensitive information.i assume they will take the view that until receipt of the minutes they cannot absolutely guarantee that their understanding of the meetings outcome is sufficiently accurate and reliable to disclose to the market.this may well be stretching things somewhat but on balance i still lincline to the view that we will not get any information on the outcome until they receive the minutes.obviously i could be wrong but if i were looking to adopt some sort of trading strategy(i am not as i am just holding for the formal outcome)i would personally be basing it on the likelihood that there will be no news on the meeting until the minutes are to hand.i hope we may get some sort of feedback from this weeks conference at end of this week but i do not expect it to be anything which will affect my personal approach to matters

dip stick apologies if i have read something into your post that was not there.i did take it as a suggestion of incompetence on eqtecs BOD part but totally accept that i have taken your generalisation as a specific which was not your intention.i did get the" Almost" point which is why i said none or almost none in my post.very wise to steer clear of political debate on these boards.there is such a febrile atmosphere in the country that its almost a relief just to concentrate on the pros and cons of eqtec.i would accept that price my have let his enthusiasms get ahead of him slightly.so lets all hope it proves justified in the longer term.gla

well dip stick the reality is that none of us know whether Brexit has had any impact and if so to what extent.almost done clearly thinks it has had a significant impact ,you think it has had none or almost none and i think it may have has a very small impact.as i stated earlier eqtec is not uk limited or dependent.currency risk can be hedged.i think the best we can say is that there is an uncertain economic climate which is not ideal.i wouldn't wish to suggest for a second that brexit should be used as an excuse for any incompetence but to be frank i am not sure what incompetence has been demonstrated.we have had no negative news from the current bod.sure there is the usual aim disappointment that we are not being fed positive news on a weekly basis but that sort of expectation is always unrealistic and bound to lead to dissatisfaction.ok the s/p is going down but that is what happens on aim all the time with news dependent companies in early growth stage.if we get negative news or no news for a very long time them perhaps the suggestion of incompetence might start to take on more justification but at the moment i cannot see that it is appropriate.we all know that if we get a very positive RNS say next week price will turn from zero to hero in an instant brexit or not.all just my opinion of course
