Decent move up today for sigmaroc. perhaps a delayed reaction to yesterdays update, which was (for the most part) very positive. may also be in anticipation of improving interest rate outlook,which based on powell's fed comments tonight may see a reduction as soon as september.

Morning bignose.just catching up with matters.yes, very low payments negotiated,as expected. not going to move the dial much,im sure.it is,however, a small (very small?) positive in that at least someone has felt it worthwhile, albeit at modest cost to licence fortacin and shoulder responsibility for regulatory approval etc, the cost of which is obviously factored into the deal terms. presumably kobayashi are confident about potential future supply issues etc,so perhaps something to give us hope re china? anyway, first positive news for a long while. and what's all this about a porn star! please remember this is a serious board for experienced and dedicated investors. no frivolity allowed.lol

Afternoon bignose.been on grandparents duty today so only just seen announcement.although i have only an imperfect understanding of these thing,i was expecting the loss figure to be greatly reduced,as the last profit warning mentioned that it had the final amortisation figure for fortacin, so it was clearly going to be significantly less than last half year. (the tax credit position was going to operate in the opposite direction,but to a much smaller extent). i imagine the relatively small loss now expected means they are outside the criteria requiring a formal profit warning, which is nice for a change,but of course it is all just accounting mechanics and no real income i expect. therein lies the problem im afraid. the product is just not bought in sufficient quantity to move the dial. china news now urgently required to provide any crumbs of comfort in this situation.

Well folks,personally i'm a little bored with all the old names and feel like something newsis needed. my current favourite is "the Fiasco Group",as it is quite snappy, has a nice sort of Italian sounding ring to it and it sums up perfectly the co's achievements over the last 10 years or so.

Very much agree. the imminent switch in the interest rate cycle should see a return to favour in the biotech sector and what i feel has been a fairly aggressive buyback strategy should, i hope, ensure that BIOG is a particular beneficiary of that. aimo.

Thanks for posting that,Kdonkey.pleased you got a prompt response,which if it doesn't exactly put meat on the bones,still gives(to me) confidence that patent matters are well in hand.as I've posted before,the patent aspect in general has never been one to concern me with FUM.they have very considerable experience in the area of patents and i agree entirely with the poster who suggested Heleon were unlikely to have got involved unless they were confident that all was on track in that regard.perfectly legitimate to ask the question of course,but it is not one that i personally have any concerns about.

Hut will presumably automatically enter the transition category on the 19th..i would imagine they will need to RNS this(not 100%certain,but i would have thought it would be necessary as a change in status).question is will they simply say they will now be considering the situation or will we get something more positive?they do, of course,have to take certain formal steps if they wish to move to the full listing category.
