RE: risk v reward28 Jul 2020 15:02
odysseus i have been out ,but i see you have asked in a polite way for my reasons.i can see that certain posters have to some extent preempted my reply, but i will nevertheless set out my thoughts.i may be completely wrong of course,i which case i would wish to apologise, but here is my reasoning.posters who come onto boards with an agenda to drive down share prices tend to follow certain patterns.one of these is what might be called the openminded approach.their initial post is invariably very friendly, couched in terms of honest openminded enquiry from someone seeking to decide whether to invest or not. quite often the poster suggests some form of experience or expertise in the area in which the target operates.the initial post rarely highlights any negatives about the company.this initial post is then followed in short order by ones which start to express concerns and highlight the risks (nothing wrong with that per se )and in particular emphasise the company's previous failures etc.such posts still claim openmindedness and an honest desire to get information or others views but the emphasis of the posts becomes increasingly negative.such posts are often categorised by a determination to include references to historic failures ,for example your reference to poor condom sales, which is a subtle,or not so subtle, attempt to impart subliminal negativity.i could go on but i trust this makes my view clear.i have to say this was my view as soon as i read your first post, but not wishing to be condemnatory in a precipitous way i have waited to see if the posts developed in the way they have.it is interesting, though not of course conclusive that others have reached the same conclusion.rest assured this is not written.in a desperate attempt to quell or deride genuine concerns or criticism and i readily accept that certain points made by you have some substance.rather is is my assessment of the purpose behind your posts.in that i can only endorse backinblacks observation.hope this clarifies.
