RX vs OTC24 Jul 2020 20:35
first I've changed the stupid heading and its infantile attempt to diminish any attempt to encourage grown up discussion by ascribing the term troll to anyone looking for that. second i and I'm sure others, completely understand the problems that could arise if fum fail to distinguish med 3000 from other otcs already available. my main point is that so far the RNSs issued by fum have placed emphasis on OTC.,which they have. no doubt before any decisions are reached extensive market research will be required.i have mentioned the problem of embarrassment factor. this militates towards OTC rather than prescription but i have no idea which route they may eventually decide to go down.in case anyone is in doubt as to the difficulties the embarrassment factor can cause, take the time to look at the history of fortacin produced by regent pacific (formerly plethora on aim )on the hk exchange. full ema authorisation for PE treatment and highly praised by the medical profession.sales so far in EU and associated territories virtually nil. its licensee recordati has now sought EMA approval to change from RX to OTC in the hope this will stimulate sales.the failure so far has been largely attributed to the embarrassment factor.now i completely accept that PE is different in kind from ED and that ED sufferers may be more wiling to undergo the embarrassment factor than PE sufferers, but it is still an important consideratio.so before you dismiss people because their views do not fit your agenda and attempt to do so by suggesting a lack of knowledge or intelligence, reflect upon the fact that there may actually be people who have far more knowledge of these matters the you, but may just choose not to indulge in your browbeating tactics.of one thing i am pretty certain the potential user numbers will be significantly overestimated ,although that does not mean the product will not be a success (i think it will)but expectations need to be realistic.
