Are you now saying that your Son does not think the process of DMG is viable, and not the production of 'green H2?

I have been saying for a long that the process is extremely difficult, with the temps and pressures involved in the gasification of plastic material. Another misconception on here is that the furnace heating gas is H2. I believe all the material I have seen on DMG is heating is from recycled Syngas, the natural product of plastic gasification. H2 production requires another bolt-on piece of expensive equipment to produce H2 from Syngas. I believe the only additional plant that has been purchased for the 'trial' is a Gas Cleaner. I would think this plant removes as much CO and CO2 as possible, to leave a Hydrogen, Methane enriched gas for heating.

Buying shares in this outfit will be a 'punt'. Mining Licences were rejected under the previous, 'more right than Maggie' President Bolsanario. The present incumbent, Lula, has another 2 years to serve, and is more left than Xi. Too much Amazonian forest, under Bolso, was allowed to be stripped for commercial enterprises. But not in this Tribal area. Bolso will probably be re-elected in 2 years, and there is a chance he will award a License. I think the best case scenario is mine operational in 5 years. AIMO of course.

I don't know why many posters are still unsure on the heating of the furnace for DMG. The patent states;

'This patent gives intellectual property protection in the UK around the utilisation of recirculated synthesis gas to heat one or more chambers and the utilisation of recirculated synthesis gas to provide electrical power via a gas generator to increase the efficiency of the process and allow the process to be "self-sustaining" when in operation, by removing the reliance on an external gas source.'

Synthesis gas is Syngas This is a mixture of CO,CO2, CH4, H2 ( Carbon Monoxide, Dioxide, Methane Hydrogen.) The quantities of each are dependent on furnace temps and pressures.

This Syngas is used to heat the furnace, specifically, one or more chambers. I think this phrase is very important for this reason. !st Law of Thermodynamics states, simply, energy ( matter) cannot be created or destroyed It can only be transformed. In DMG a solid, plastic, is changes into a gas, Syngas, with some solid biproduct, Char. Therefore, it is not possible that the resulting Syngas is the sole energy source for the whole operation, that will produce more Syngas (energy), and also provide sufficient Syngas to power electrical generation. Since we are not privy to the design of the furnace, there may be other 'chambers', requiring another heat source. For the poster who disagree with this, you are not debating me, but The First Law of Thermodynamics, and good luck with that.

A poster stated that his son studying for PhD in H2. says there is no such thing (WTTE)as green H2. This is misleading at best, and depends on accurate meaning of 'green'. H2 produced from Electrolysis, where the electricity is generated from wind, Sun, waves, is widely accepted as 'green H2, since there are no toxic gas emissions. However, the manufacturing process, of Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, wave motion electrical generators, will certainly have a C footprint. This footprint will be diminished the longer the panels, etc, last, since it is a non-recurring entity.

The 'high' low was on 20 Dec 2023, following RNS stating mandate of lead arrangers had been extended, (again).

I believe this low is a result of three factors

StIves. Good post. Pyrolysis of plastic is well understood, and China sells 'off the shelf' plants, mainly for the production of heating oils, and heavier oils. The temps and pressures are lower ( thermodynamics of operation), and the resultant gas yield of Syngas is considerably lower than in DMG, where the thermodynamics of operation are designed to produce gases, not liquid oils. The 'operating conditions' of DMG are extreme and not readily scalable, as you rightly say, AP found, to their cost. A lot has happened since 2016, but the fact that PHE have said it has had 'working' plants on DMG for a decade now ( in different guises), and is now embarking on another 'test' plant, substantiates the argument that it is a 'challenging' field. Trifol is manufacturing 'liquids', particularly aviation fuel, where temps and pressures are lower, thus technically not as demanding as DMG. Past events are a decent guide to the future, and I am confident that the first results from the kiln, (I dislike the use of this irt DMG, since pottery is 'fired' in a kiln, and it is not 'new science'), A 'furnace' is better, will be 'glowing', (no pun intended), stating that all designed performance criteria were met. This will result in a sharp rise in sp. ( Best to bank some profit imo). Then there will be the inevitable delays for the 'trial' to be 'scaled up' to a marketable production facility.

For posters unable to understand the basics of this post, suggest you ask an educated person, if you know any. lol

Some posters may be interested in the 'technicalities' of DMG, and other processes in similar fields. It is a fact of life, that the uneducated, who cannot understand , resort to comments like, 'it's CnP'. If you attempt to find a similar article, verbatim ( google it), you will be unsuccessful. It's all in the memory cells.

I have received a decent education, and do have 'specialist knowledge'. It is obvious Dumb and his pal, have none. The post also seems to have escaped the thought processes of a poster with a rather narcissistic ndp, Dr. !!!. Maybe DrAl, ( or is it DrAI)?, can tell me who are the 'customers' of PHE DMG process, and for clarification, DMG is a process designed to produce Syngas, not H2. H2 production requires an other, expensive, 'bolt on' operation, with specialist storage and transport requirements.

The Trifol process, apparently, does not contravene PHE's patent, since it does not state it uses the product as a heat source for the operation. It states,

'This involves a huge machine that decomposes the waste plastic by heating it at enormous temperatures, in the absence of oxygen or flames, until it becomes a gas.'

In a nutshell, this is plasma temperatures, and is the DMG process. When crude oil, (liquid plastic) is 'cracked', it is heated to temps between 400 -600dC, 100atm pressure, in an anaerobic atmosphere, in 100'sof steel tubes in a large furnace, in the presence of a catalyst. The catalyst, can be many types, typically Nickel or Iron compounds, are crucial, since molecular bonds are broken at lower temps and pressures. After 'cracking' ( gasification), the product is sent to Fractionating Towers, levels at varying temperatures, where the distilled liquid products atre collectd, ( diesel, petrol, kerosene, waxes, Major problem for using these types of catalysts in DMG, is Sulphur 'poisoning' the catalyst. ( S is present is almost every plastic). Crude oils containing S, (typically heavy crude oils) always contain some S, and so a different catalyst has to be used. Trifol market appears to be a very lucrative on, aviation fuels, where, I suggest Kerosene is the goal. As long as it does not ( or states it does not) use any product to keep the furnace heated, it is not violating PHE Patent. I thought this was an interesting comment from Trifols web site;

'In 2019 a Chinese company called Sabrina Integrated Services, in partnership with Bord Na Móna, started a farm plastics recovery and recycling operation right beside the Trifol plant.

This Sabrina operation collects, cleans, and sorts waste farm plastic before either shredding it or turning it into plastic pellets.

This is an ideal raw material for the Trifol plant, and it comes from right next door.'

A few of the LTH here will know how I banged on, and even messaged PHE PDMR's that the ideal site for DMG was at a Waste Recycling Facility.

The lender and the owner are the same person, Dr Nahab. He tried to create a 'cash cow', that would keep on paying him. Unlike the vast majority of listed cos., who raised capitol at IPO stage, with the 'owners' retaining a majority of shares, , he decided to retain 90+% of the co, and 'lent' the co money, as and when required. This requirement was every new contract to purchase stock. He also, being a greedy barsteward, converted some of the money owed to him into shares at 50, 60, 70, 80% below market value. The co was always doomed to fail under his management, and the BOD can do nothing to out him. I bought in at c 7p many years ago, 10yrs I think, when I saw the potential of HFC. I soon realised what Nahab was, and his propensity to publish glowing RN's with immediate sp rises. He would then sell a tranche of his share acquired as above. I rode this 'train' for several years, and when the sp hit mid 20's I sold, It later went to 50p I believe. Oh dear dumb n Dumber. Dumb's analogy of buying DMG with a tv from Currys is typical of an uneducated poster. A tv is a 'not for profit' purchase, and is for news and entertainment value. There are 100s of tv types to choose from and the only choice a buyer makes is 'value for money'. DMG cost a purchaser money to buy, and franchise costs every year. H2 manufacture requires 'bolt on' process ( the water shift reaction). this shows your lack of knowledge of DMG.
