Drop now twice the dividend, not encouraging to me. Looks like a number of people who bought low held on for the dividend are now taking profits.

Given the reduce yield it looks as though £13 is the resistance point, most investors are in Oil and Gas for dividends and since DEC fixed it's dividends for 3 years this will probably put a ceiling on the SP.

Hope I am wrong and this could change if HH continues to rise and/or Cable rate falls which is likely given this government.

This looks like a total over reaction to excellent figures but reduction in future guidance, from what I can see this is a temporary reduction is due to warmer weather in Israel so just less gas sold but ENOG still have the gas, sooner or latter the weather will become colder or just normalise and the sales will increase.

Probably a lot to do profit taking by those who bought around 850p, buy on rumour sell on fact. I managed to get in at 860p after following the company for a time and plan to keep for a time, will add more if it goes lower especially as the special dividend is on it's way.

I would bet if DEC had used the cash for BBs and not trashed the dividends instead of the deals the SP would be a lot higher, we would have more money in our accounts from the dividends and all be a lot happier.

The SP will always be held back with this level of dividends with little chance of returning to where it was just over a year ago, Oil and Gas investors are looking for dividends, if you want capital growth you go for AI or FANGS. This is made worse with the huge dividend reduction (while saying it safe) as no body trusts Rusty not to do it again.

In the very long run the deals could turn out to be a great but come with a large increase in risk due to huge long term fixed interest debt, it would have been a lot different if Trump had not won. However the downside of the Trump victory may well be lower gas prices as drill baby drill will produce more oil with the side product of gas. At present I will be very happy and lucky to get out breaking even but then still would have lost against inflation.

This I agree but the Demarcates in general with ESG agenda, investigations etc and restricting exports to temporary reduce gas prices in time for the election but would have gone up latter as some gas produces when bankrupt and other cut back.

This is all true but the IIs obviously did not like Rusty's change of strategy or they would have been buying and the SP would not have tanked, it would be a better place for all investors if the IIs did their job, stopped BODs going off the rails and protected there customers funds, but they don't care, not their money.

It is the Trump effect that saved us not Rusty or the IIs.

I should add I do not get angry when I lose on an investment because I made the wrong choice or the market moves against me but I really do not like it when the BOD makes not just one decision which drops the SP but 4 times in a row, 3 in a very short time, lies to shareholders and completely changes the strategy of the company without consulting shareholders.

I agree with some of your points but

As a shareholder it is my business, because as shareholders we own the company and this total change of strategy to use the dividends for acquisitions and get the company into huge debt was never put to a vote or at the very least even mentioned. In fact Rusty kept saying the opposite, nothing changed, nothing to see here while planning the dividend cut for more wells. Perhaps it is just me but I do not like paying Rusty's salary to lie to me which is IMO is one of the reasons the SP was trashed and the shorters took control also Rusty believed he was doing such a good job gave himself free shares as the SP was plummeting and we were all in losses. It will take a very long time for this type of behaviour to be forgotten by the markets, we are recovering now but a long way to go just to break even and more taken into account inflation. At this point a good result would be to get out with no losses, but not as good a result if I had not invested in first place, time will tell.

I am glad you are doing well but I have only been in DEC since 2021 and been adding until just over a year ago (been trading some since) so perhaps a Johnny come lately in your eyes and still suffering huge losses. These have been mitigated by the dividends and 11 trades (in and out) which are all in profit and reduced my loses but it still does not alter the fact that this company has been a disaster so far which I attribute a lot to Rusty's obsession with buying wells at any cost to the SP. These wells could turn out to be great buys but were a huge gamble, where would we be now if Trump had not won. These acquisitions should be compared against using the cash for BBs which IMO would be far more accreditive, also not trashing the dividend would help along with not lying to shareholders.

Also these loses do not take account of inflation and should be compared not only to what I would have made putting my money in a building society but more relevantly other shares I own (where I would have put the cash I put into DEC) which taken all together have produced nice gains since the time I bought DEC.

For me it means company making decent profits, starting to pay dividends and not coming cap in hand to shareholders for more cash. For the BOD who knows, probably usual jam tomorrow statement so shareholders please keep paying our salaries without complaining which lets face it we have herd before and as can be seen the market also herd it before and is not impressed.
