Very strange that the FCA are out of date but it is even more bizarre than that. Just checked and FCA have latest update on 1 Nov but are missing updates from end of October for 3 positions, FCA has it as 8.45% and short tracker 8.2%, the question is who is right, I have no idea.

From my experience all you a are likely to get is standard replies but must admit I have not tried this with CPI. I tried this a number of times with other listed companies and never got any information from the companies on why they think it is OK to spend shareholders money making political statements. In general they will not answer the questions but push their on agenda.

Although I take a different view on CPI (not DEI) at present I find that a number of shares holder support their companies like they would their local football club. After the data hatch I was very critical of JL for the way he was running CPI and took a lot of flake from the fan club at the time. I am more optimistic now under AH but hate seeing this DEI c**p peddled and in the case of Aviva it is on my sell list because of it, a company should be run for the good of all including the shareholders and not there to make political statements.

We all have different views and that what makes a market, good luck with your next investment for now I am picking up REITs and ITs which are being wound down because SP well below NAV and IIs are fed up with this so forcing sales of all assets.

I hope so but are all of Capita's contract structured in such away that this additional cost can be passed on, however I am certain this will be factored in with new contracts.

It should be remembered not all Capita's employees will be directly billable to contacts, human recourses, cleaners etc. but this will apply to all companies especially those with large work forces to administer, again like Capita.

Not sure what there is to clarify just an example of how it disproportionately effects a low paid part time workers, and can add it will also disproportionately effect low paid workers as opposed to high paid as the the company will see a larger proportion increase in NI. i.e. employers NI payments for 2 workers on £30,000 pa will increase more than 1 worker on £60,000. This change will therefore hit companies with part time and low paid workers more than it does those with mainly high paid full time workers.

On a brighter note more companies will outsource and the outsources like Capita can off sure the work, not good for the UK but perhaps good for Capita in the long term.

I would guess shorts will reduce slowly as volumes are low and if reduced too quickly would push the price up too much for rest of the short position they are still holding.

I would have thought the reduction in the NI allowance is worse for part time low paid workers as a higher proportion of the salary would be caught by NI.

A worker doing 15 hours pw at £12 ph is £9360pa just over the NI threshold of £9100 so £236 subject to 13.8% NI, £35.88 employers NI. With the changes £4360 at a rate of 15% so £654 employers NI, a huge increase to say the least.

CPI will either have to off shore or factor this cost on all new contracts and worst of all loss a of profitability on existing contracts.

No doubt other cost will rise like office cleaning as this will hit this industry particularly hard.

Next this will hit inflation and already effecting interest rates.

The NI will focus CPI and many other companies on increasing off shoring.

With this lot in charge I don't think there is much worry about the £ going up more worrying is £ dropping and inflation.

Just checked the latest down load on short positions from the FCA and it does not contain the changes for 31/10 so my assumption is wrong and Shorttracker is the most up to date.

This is meant to be a daily update from the FCA and missing yesterdays changes, still I guess this is the FCA.

I believe this is the most up to date reporting as this is from the FCA and I suspect this is where Shorttracker gets it's info.

Filter takes just a few seconds and I find it the easiest way but you can just search for Diversified Energy if you prefer.

Mostly agree except 9-10% interest bit, I believe the latest borrowing DEC is paying little over 7% this is compared to the dividend yield of 10% so in time the reduced dividends paid will pay off the debt and when this is paid off (just from the difference of 10% dividend less 7% interest) not only are there 10% less shares so each share now has 10% more NAV also the dividends saving continue after the debt paid off or dividends can rise 10%. However there are risk in that dividends can be cut in bad times but debt must be paid.

I don't like to say this but are ARO costs part of your calculation, hopefully mentioning AROs it will not wake up the parrots, not expecting it while SP is rising.

However it is all irrelevant as this has already happened but is relevant when DEC considers it's next acquisition.

Would be an interesting one for someone to put the slide ruler over (over to you Oakbloak), would like to do this but no time as too many things on the go and in the end would lust be an academic exercise. Also would need to take into account future gas prices for the unhedged portion of the acquisition and the effect it would have on the SP which are both course unknow. My gut felling tells me BB are better but that depends on the known unknowns.

II doing free trades today so trading some of my DEC $ dividends and taking a short break from trading Camerco while waiting for price to turn (going up at present and now all in), good exercise in self control, taken one loss to enable a larger gain. Played this game before and made some losses but today looking good. Overall lost a small amount in trading this share (when II doing free trades) but up on my investment. Camerco great trading share, small spread moves a lot in a short time and of course no stamp duty.
