Your attitude to Savage is very tempting but I tend to think he just a very sad individual with no life but not an excuse for gloating at other peoples misery.

Must agree with you and others about AH, seems he is another one been talking a good game but fails to delivery however given the mess JL left may well take some more time to turn around but more honesty will help in the long run.

Investments in the UK are very much drying up with a lot of companies likely to leave next year after a record number left this year. The recent cause is the anti business, high regulation, high tax, inflation increasing government we have now but although the last lot we better they were still terrible for the same reasons. The US and DEC hopefully will be fine after the shares from the acquisitions are digested by the market but given the daily turn over of DEC will take some time. Coming to the time for DEC to leave the LSE.

The LSE will continue to shrink while we have the highest stamp duty of any of the large exchange not helped by increases in CGT and dividend tax. The LSE will be taxed and regulated to a minor market.

I also believe a 15% drop was overdone and probably recover a small amount tomorrow however the city and most others have been burnt by Capita, they have no friends and confidence is all but gone, for a decent recovery we must have profits. So even thought I think there is more than likely to be some short term gains I cannot bring myself to put a 1p more into this share at this point in time, been burnt too many times.

I certainly would not go that far with Savage, it looks to me he is a sad individual with no real life and spends his time trying to prove himself by gloating on the misery of others, he should be pitied and perhaps one day he will grow out of his problems. The one thing we all know is love for Labour will change as the effect of their policies hit him harder and harder which will really hurt.

When I say zero sum gain I am referring other shareholders who have not lent the shares for shorting, in this case not Blackrock. For Blackrock all they have to do is not lose more on the SP than they make on lending less COF, they obviously do think there is a profit otherwise they would no be involved.

You really have no idea about companies and shares, unless you buy more stock you will end up with the same stake unless either the company repurchases shares or issues more shares. The most likely outcome is a few more shares issued for staff schemes so will end up slightly lower stake.

Did not Labour say they should spend more especially during Covid and that borrowing was no problem at low interest rates (as they were then). You need to remember what actually happened.

Could be Crescent Pass of or one of the other acquisitions selling out, I suspect this will hold the SP back for quit time, unfortunately wiping out the shorters sell off which will also be slowed down as they know sooner of latter these shares will hit the market dragging the SP down.

If you think that this Labour Government are doing well or even better (not hard) than the useless Conservatives you are totally deluded. In ever metric they have failed as shown in the polls which put Keir Starmer as the worse prime minister in modern times achieved in a record time of less than 6 months, 61% of people think he is do a bad or terrible job. Remember the train divers record pay rise to stop strikes, well they are striking again over Christmas. Keir Starmers response is to spend as much time abroad as he can giving away UK tax payers money where ever he goes so he told what a good person he is and keep as far away from the mess he created at home.

Just to correct the record it is not Racal from accounts it is Racal (the CV fraudster) from complaints, she is not intelligent enough to do accounts as is so apparent now. The same Racal forced to leave the Bank of England for poor performance and taking off many sick days for nonexistent doctor’s appointments.

Remind me what Keir Starmer said about criminal convictions while appointing a convicted fraudster to the cabinet.

So we now have 2 tier, free gear, never here, granny freezer Kier and anti farmer Starmer along with Victoria Sponger. Add in convicted criminals appointed to cabinet, Ed (I don’t know where the money went but isn’t it funny) Milibrain, David Lamentable with a party full of pathological liars (remember election promises, lied and lied again to gain power) and Mike (Tyson) Amesbury.

For me it is simple, this share will never go anywhere until there are some profits and one day a dividend, jam tomorrow can only be used for a short time and has been used to destruction by this company.

I don't think this government will outsource much they will grow the civil service as this is their main voter base, it would be far more efficient to outsource but never worried Labour. CPI must look elsewhere which is difficult in a the Labour created falling UK market and cut costs, best option to offshore to get away from Labours tax grab, costly regulations etc.

Again we are just left with hope that one day this company might actually do what it is meant to do, make money and pay dividends, we can but hope. The ghost of JL is still haunting Capita. Good luck to all but the shorters.

True but some gas is sold at spot, probably more than before acquisitions but DEC have added some additional hedging since then, also futures price likely to rise as spot rises.

Shorts are fast becoming the turkey for the DEC Christmas rally, great Christmas present for us all except the 2 doomsayers.

DEC SP is a teenager again, lets hope this time it can hold onto it. I suspect LSE will drop it tomorrow morning but NY may well pull it up for the weekend. US price now $16.68, around £13.13 now, down from an inter day high of $16.79.

If history repeats itself straight back down again, until all the shares allocated as part of the deals are sold that want to be sold we may struggled to break out, it was when it was about these levels last time Crescent Pass were selling and the price dropped but partially offset by shorts moving out.

However saying that it hit £13 twice during the recovery, for the first one we have had 2 dividends so add on about 44p (taking into account exchange rates at the time) and the last 23p. So at present it looks like this may be the resistance point but you get the dividends on top.

With Germany and France both in trouble the UK’s contribution (if we we still in) from the words of the song, the only way is up and at a guess up a lot.

Seen this before, as shorts rise so do Blackrock's position, shorts fall so does Blackrock's position, in short (pardon the pun) Blackrock buys to lend to the shorters. So lets say price paid to Blackrock is 8% (short cost + interest on capital) to lend the shares (just a guess) then Blackrock get 16% (8% + dividends), the cost of funds let say 5% then providing the SP does not fall more than 11% Blackrock make money. There is of course stamp duty to add in but a lot of the time the Blackrock's position is made up by shares and some sort of financial instrument (not how this works for short lending). Of course dividends may not be paid in the period but typical the SP will rise after a dividend payment until the next payment.

For shareholders if shares are purchased just to lend this becomes a zero sum gain for the shareholders and the same when the short is closed, in the real world this does tend to lend to price changes as buys and sells are not equally matched in short period of time as Blackrock probably play the shares a bit.
