This a repeating pattern SP recover a bit and drops on the the next leak just before the the next buy, even with HH up becoming difficult to see how this can reach the mythical £15 let alone the £20+ which is a more realistic valuation, Rusty is determined this should never happen.

Rusty should be looking plugging these leaks.

Lets hope US can pull this back nearer to £14 today, can only hope.

I will be happy if the SP goes back to the £14s and perhaps even to the £15s although it should be well north of this given the HH price and/or some restoration of the dividend. If it stays down at these levels obviously unhappy as this is a a self inflicted. What next for Rusty Kuwait.

I am obviously not an II but for me it is simple I am not investing in the UK while this government is in power and certainly not in NS O&G, if O&G and energy prices go up would not be surprised if more taxes are heaped on. My latest investments for O&G are in ENOG, may well add more on the dips and with the special and other dividends. Therefore unless SQZ do what they say they were going to do and invest outside of the UK I will not be adding, hold for now but will get out at some point, also very uncomfortable with the Mercuria holding.

IMO very high chance of rate reduction because UK is such terrible trouble, need to balance the the increase in inflation caused by labour against the immense harm caused of by Labour, the harm is too great.

I think this is just the effect of the last purchase as the rot started then and perhaps one of the companies that got shares as part of the deals selling down, of course it reduces pressure on the shortes selling out. I don't think we are about to see a new deal soon but the market is spooked that this may happen, why buy when history tells you wait for Rusty nest deal and buy after at a lower price or perhaps just buy something else without this risk. But what do I know after all I bought DEC a time ago and just lost money.

My view is that we should have/need acquisitions to replace depletions and for some growth, there should not be so many acquisitions in a short space of time.

IMO this has come the expense of trashing the SP, trashing dividends, adding huge long term fixed interest rate debt and share dilution (shares in the hands of people who are dumping these on the market) and dare I say lack of BBs to support the SP. Also the added problem of the lies that have been told by Rusty which has drained confidence in the company. All this has occurred while US has changed government from one that was hostile to gas production to one that is supportive including the ARO situation. The fair valuation of this company is said to be £20+ per share which I do not think is unreasonable but is no more than a pipe dream at present.

As some will say there is no proof the drop in the SP was caused by the acquisitions, but after the last 5 acquisitions the SP falls like clockwork. The SP just before the last acquisition was in the £14s and rising now in £12s and falling, those who were saying £15 soon will have a long time to wait. There is a very good chance when the SP shows serious recovery it will then be trashed by another acquisition. Rusty should have some regard for shareholder value.

This is just Labour double speak, straight out of the Tony Blair play book, say you want one thing and do the complete opposite. TB used to say he supports small businesses while increasing taxes and regulation on them a short time after.

I think we already know all of this, for me this is disappointing as I do not see anything getting better in the UK while Labour are in power and perhaps could get worse as they get more desperate, they should do what they promised and look for opportunities abroad, will add to ENOG and others on dips and not be adding to SQZ but probably selling at some point.

I think the Trump bounce is already in the SP, the 2 main positives are the AROs being kicked into the long grass and the lifting of the ban on new LNG export terminals.

Trump has played the situation with O&G very well for US, on one hand he will increase the production of O&G in the US giving more exports and will keep world prices up by tightening the sanctions on Russian and Iranian O&G, very cleaver move.

Although US will produce more O&G it will not only export more but use more as subsidies are removed from Wind/Solar and more heavy industry is brought back into the US due to sanctions. Whether you like it or not this is America first.

The Bank of England should be freed from burdensome net zero rules to help grow the economy, Rachel Reeves has been told.

Sam Woods, the head of the Bank’s Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), said the thicket of climate requirements imposed by Westminster was impeding efforts to boost growth.

In a letter to the Chancellor and Sir Keir Starmer, Mr Woods said the requirement for the Bank to “have regard” for dozens of different “climate and the environment” issues made it harder to encourage risk-taking in the City and take a more light-touch approach to regulation.

Mr Woods raised the issue in response to a call from Ms Reeves for ideas on how to improve Britain’s flatlining growth rate.

Look back in history and you will see all Labour governments live far beyond their means, the policies are borrow, tax and spend, along with increased Government workers and regulations which always ends up in huge extra debt and crashing economy. Thacker/Major government paid off a huge amount of debt and we almost had no debt until Blair and gone downhill ever since as nothing but socialist governments.

Wrong again, unfortunately politics/taxation has been affecting a lot of my companies more than anything else so IMO very relevant in any investment decisions. I have smallish holding in 2 Oil and Gas companies which are either totally or mostly in the UK, both SPs down by 2/3s due to EPL, one stating no more investments in the UK the other also looking outside the UK for new investments. I will not add unless they move mostly out of the UK but taken a position in an Israeli O&G company ENOG which is doing very well, more stable than O&G investments in the UK and that says something, unfortunately now days politics very important.
