Not for me, a number of wood burning stoves and old Rayburn along with many years supply of wood (given free by tree surgeons who need to get ride of the wood), don't need wind, sun, battery backup or heat pump, very warm even when well below zero. Just need a little generator to power everything else.

Wood keeps you warn 3 times, 1 when you cut it, 2 when you saw and spilt it and 3 when you burn it. Just got to keep ED Milibrain away from my stoves.

The downfall started when Tony Blair’s government were voted in, before we has a fantastic economy growing at a good rate, large debt reduction almost clear of debt, immigration under control.

Blair slowly but surely started to change everything putting various things in law like human rights etc, started mass migration into the UK as they will vote for him, called everybody r****t if they disagreed (Mandelson "if they complain we will rub these noses in it"), politicised the civil service and education and borrowed and spent at huge levels, changed tax system like dividend tax, IR35 etc. Tory's moved to the left to get votes as Labour had changed the demographics of the UK through immigration and now Labour have lurched to the left just accelerating the downfall.

Just got a email for Octoplus stating I will get 72p back for ever unit of energy I use less than normal between 5:30 and 6:30, I pay 24p per unit.

This means the grid is under a lot of pressure and needs to shed load or has to reply on very expensive generation, a direct result of governments ESG policies and will only add more to out energy costs in the future, wind and solar are at fault and if we used gas instead this would not happen and prices will be a lot lower.

UK-based oil and gas company Serica Energy has disclosed its production figures for 2024 ahead of a detailed trading update scheduled for 21 January.

The company anticipates an increase in production rates as the phased restart of the Triton fields continues following a successful resumption of production into the Triton floating production, storage and offloading vessel on 27 December and the restart of gas exports on 29 December.

The company is on track to resume operations with two compressors at Triton in Q1 2025, a capability not seen since Q1 2024.

Now even the BOE say they are 2/3s responsible in an obscure place on their website. She went against the blob and also wanted to cut government spending and jobs, she had to go no matter what harm is done to the UK economy, could not have that.

You can add into Labours lies and scandal Tulip Siddiq now embroiled in multiple scandals with a number of political commentators predicting she will be booted out from Labour but suspected will be kept on as this could force a byelection something Starmer wants to avoid at all costs. He does not want to have it proved how unpopular this government have become.

Unfortunately I don't think the market has changed it's mine but hopefully it will, it started dropping from a high of £14.22 when I believe the acquisition was leaked, before this the shares were trending up at a good rate and I believe there was a very good chance we could have hit £14.50 or dare I say £15. Too much of a coincidence for me the SP goes into reverse around the time of the acquisition.

However would love to be proved wrong and the SP continues it's rise, up 2.82% in US at present and HH down so the signs look good, fingers crossed.

Not sure I buy into that, also believe this would be illegal to tell some of the shareholder base and not others for a decision as import as this.

Asa you say we can agree to disagree and would like to thank you for a decent conversation which has been kept polite and civil, although I may disagree with someone I am always interested to hear alternative points of view other we just get an echo chamber.

The market is the market no matter what anyone thinks, if this was for a few weeks to months there may be case to say it is out of step but it is going on for years now, shares are only worth what the market will pay. The things we have seen are DEC get numerous good reviews and SP does not go up, the greater period Rusty stays away from the buy button the more the SP rises, the market does not like these acquisitions as the SP drops every time, 5 times in a row now, decent BBs increase the SP.

DEC now has more long term high priced fixed rate debt, shares have been diluted and new shares in the hands of companies who have dumped them or could dump them on the market in the future, Rusty keeps lying.

Removal of the ban on new gas terminals so more gas exported.

Reducing the gas Russia and Iran export to the west so putting up world gas prices so US/DEC makes more money from exported gas.
