Unfortunately that is only 1 share and $13.22 for 3 shares don't think these are genuine trades but part of some sort settlement or something else technical. Looks like we will be stuck in the doldrums for a bit longer, will have to wait for NY to open to tell LSE what to do. NY index futures down a small amount so no clear indication.

BBs yesterday 48,773, average price 1,006.74 so should help a bit in the long run, hopefully some big BBs today.

In order to get attention and irritate posters (his hobby) GG will troll them and bring up anything he can and use it out of context to try to put them down or insult them, done that to me a few times, quite funny the lengths he will go, he is not only the resident village idiot he is also the resident troll with far too much time on his hands.

Good post, IMO it does not really matter how it is calculated but the end result is to bring countries to trade talks with the US or punish countries hostile to US and move as many jobs as possible back to the USA. Take the UK, bans chlorinated chicken but has lots of chlorinated salads, not really interested in the argument whether these are good or bad but an example of regulations which suit the UK and harm USA. VAT another example, if you manufacture in UK/EU and sell there you can offset a lot of the VAT but if imported from USA full VAT, no offsets.

I would prefer this not to happen as it is not helping me, took a big hit today and certain my non USA shares will be less profitable but I can see the logic.

The point for me is Trump puts America first, Keir puts Britain and especially British people last.

Strange reaction of utilities today, a lot up 5-6% today, they must be regarded as a safe haven (until next budget) and are interest rate sensitive as bought for dividends and I guess this crisis increases the likelihood of rate cuts. Was planning to sell some SHELL to get to my CGT limit for the year but got the opportunity to sell Seven Trent Water, got these on a fund raise 1 and 1/2 years ago and turned a nice profit. As part of the plan this cash will go into my ISA next tax year and will buy companies not doing any/much business in the UK . Pity Primary Bid stopped dealing direct with retail investors took part in many good fund raises including twice in LSE shares and twice in Seven Trent Water, may well come back if UK market improves, don’t hold your breath.

If all goes well will pull out of more UK utilities next tax year, too much danger with companies especially utilities in this country with Labour Government but not that good under the last Tory government either. As I pull out of these if CGT tax allows as stated above will mostly/all go out of the UK as UK is business belligerent and will stay this way for a time.

Almost breaking even on PNN if you count the dividends, may get there sometime next tax year, if so I am out as too much danger with companies especially utilities in this country with Labour Government but not that good under the last Tory government either. I am not worried about the drop IMO be over quickly but a lot more concerned we will not get a long enough stable period without more deals, would like to get some of my DEC investment out with at least some profit or just break even and can then look forward to trading DEC a lot more on the Rusty deal cycle.

This will blow over in a few days for DEC and without Trump who knows where we would be, LNG exports restricted, AROs, other ESG issues and higher taxes. Difficulty day but at least the BBs will be at a low price so some good.

My advice with GG is don't bother, sometimes I reply to wind him up or put it another way give him a does of his own medicine, it is quite fun and can imagine him with smoke coming out his ears as he gets more and more angry and insulting. He is here for the full 1/2 hour argument (with anyone he can drag in), not the 5 minutes one. However it does clog up the board for others so generally best ignored and he will crawl back in the woodwork when SP rises.

Cars built by robots still require parts and the the Robots will need to serviced, factories built, admin staff etc. Also if built in the USA all the taxes will be paid in the USA. Already Chip manufacture moving factories to USA and investing 100s of billions of $.

Yes the world has moved on, a lot of countries China, Japan, India, EU etc think the new world means they can apply tariffs and regulations to USA goods and don't get tariffs on theirs, not any more world going back to a fairer position for USA. Look what India has done to your VOD.

Wish we had done the same, I watched company after company I dealt with/worked for move to Ireland, we paid EU taxes who sent the cash to Ireland so they could cut Corp tax and take UK jobs. Watch a lot of jobs going to India as they had zero taxes for IT for export and no tariffs while we were being hammered for tax over here. The Indian staff sent over to UK pay no taxes but use all of the services. At one point was sitting between 2 Indian contractors bosting they were paying no UK taxes after being here years, they had offshore companies where they were being paid, if they got caught they would just leave the UK .

It will be a great success for USA as jobs come back and revenue from tariffs, taxes on companies returning and savings used to cut taxes.

All Trump has done is impose tariffs on countries that impose tariffs on USA, for UK it is 10% tariff and lots of regulations so neutral, the EU impose 39% tariffs on USA goods and a lots of regulation to make it difficult and they just got 20% so in a way they are lucky.

It is about levelling the playing flied leading to trade talks. USA could not go into trade talks if they are charging very low tariffs as there is no bargaining chip, now there is and will force many countries to drop tariffs or have trade talks.

This is not good for many parts of the rest of the world but it is novel that the leader of a western country puts his people first unlike so many other and one of the worst is the UK. Keir needs to stop looking after anyone but British people and get a trade deal ASAP.

I got some at higher price, jumped in too quick, don't think will get out today in profit but hopefully in a week or so.

Lots of shares being hit BP, SHELL, ENOG, SQZ, KIST all down around 4-5% so I would expect DEC to be a hit a bit more as SP is fragile.

If all goes well should improve when NY opens as they may not be in such a big panic.

Caused mainly by

JL very poor management of CPI which is very difficult to turn around.

Very poor governments in UK especially Labour pushing up cost and inflation and killing the economy.

And caused to some extent by

Not enough offshoring so cost too high to be competitive with other companies like the one that just got the PHNX contract.

You are not alone, I have lost large amounts on this company along with a lot of other people and institutions, played a large part in Neil Woodford's downfall. I don't think you are an idiot and the only thing I can advise is spread the risk.

It all now depends on AH turning this mess around, he seems to be doing all the right things except outsourcing more IMO but the question is it possible given what JL did to the company, I think so and I certainly hope so, sometimes hope is all we have. If all goes well it could change your life for the better but at best it will take some time.

For me AI is not a game changer as the competitors will do the same, some people here with good knowledge say CPI is ahead in this area which is no doubt true but I believe the competitors will not just say C'est La Vie and lose out but do all they can to catch up or go ahead.

Most likely the case, you have to remember that civil servants almost to a man and woman vote Labour and civil servant unions support the Labour party, add on the total mess Labour have made of the economy leaving far less money for spending. Outsourcing would save the country money especially in the long term as less civil servant pensions to pay but Labour won't do it for ideological reasons as well as the ones mentioned above.

Looks like a good opportunity to buy/trade, 40p below US closing price.

You are correct, ENOG disposal was stopped by Italian regulation and now left with a much bigger debt than they planned and this is why the SP tanked which looks like a good buying opportunity, already got some around this level when they were low because of the Palestinian issue.

They in this position similar to DEC finance c**k up because of regulation, the reason I prefer these to DEC is they have a higher yield which is likely to rise at some point unlike DECs, no dividend cuts, growing fast, happy to return funds to shareholders when they can, looking to pay down debt not increase it and have not been diluting shares.

Gas looks good for a time to come otherwise Shell would not be planning to increase gas holdings and Shell do seem to get things right except ESG which they are back tracking on now. Unfortunately need to sell some Shell to crystallise CG but ENOG in my ISA and SIPP so in an sense moving Shell gas holdings into ENOG gas holdings.

I like yourself have a much smaller holding in ENOG than DEC but over time may well move more across, DECs roller coaster SP due to acquisitions I am fairly certain will continue, great trading opportunity but bad for investment. Hopping ENOG will be more stable but only if Palestinian issue does not start up again which I think is won't for a time, however it has not effected production and profits so far just scares the market.

Your £10.47 trade back in profit, well done so all good.

Been increasing my position in ENOG today, probably should should have got in few days ago but as it is trending up decided to jump now. Hope it does not rise much this week as would like to add more with next years ISA allowance. IMO these are very undervalued at this price.
