Good analysis, not certain I agree with it but some good points and as you say good to see alternative views.
For the Maverick deal it may have been fine if they had not messed up the finances but after they were unable to borrow more cash had to have an emergency fire sale of shares I am not certain it adds much value given the cost. Also left DEC BOD with egg on their faces and makes future deals more difficult/expensive, who would want DEC shares as part of a deal when previous companies who did this saw the value of these shares plummet and DEC now must have a bad reputation with issuing more debt.

Where did you get this figure, I have been trying to find this out, HL have it at 603m and as far as I can tell there are 81m shares in issue (from previous RNSs) which disagrees with HL’s market cap.
Good point on the BBs, looks like running down UK shares probably for a move to just a NY listing which is probably a good thing, UK markets in decline, perhaps terminal decline.
