the question for me is are these accretive compared to buying back own stock, initial yield of 6.4% against dividend yield of initial yield of 7.56%, also add in smaller portfolio less management costs.

for me the interesting comparison is with srei, supr still keeps buying more assets when interest rates are high and trading well below nav and srei does very little, in the last 5 years srei up 43%, supr down 25%, add in dividends and gap is even more.

The debt being paid off is probably the older debt as it matures, while this is good it is at a lower interest rate end, interest rates on the debt taken out by DEC increase with time so a long time before redemptions significantly reduces interest paid. This is the figure which will effect the FCF per share without one offs which for me is the most important metric, another useful metric is debt less cash held and interest paid on debt less interest paid on the cash. Also another interesting metric is now much gas is left in the wells less extraction, admin and ARO costs as debt on the those wells is paid off not something easy to come by.

Given the recent performance of this company as can be seen from the dividend cuts would would probably be in a worse place without the wind down. I would take a bet if wind would was cancelled shares would drop a lot lower.

Although mostly about Freight Rates some points

• Europe faces potential LNG price pain as it races to meet a 90% gas inventory target with limited alternatives to U.S. liquefied gas, unlike Asian importers.

• While short-term supply is tight, the market faces long-term speculation of an oversupply, with U.S. LNG capacity set to more than double by 2029, though current prices and demand trends suggest supply is currently balanced.

• A month ago, global exports of liquefied natural gas hit an all-time high. They’re about to grow further, however, as winter in the northern hemisphere draws nearer and demand for heating soars.

• The EU is going to see more LNG price pain because, unlike Asian importers, it has little alternative to U.S. liquefied gas.

I guess the question is how much of the increase cost will be just the Freight Rates and how much will be reflected in gas prices. In the end I guess the prices as always will hinge on the weather in US, Europe and elsewhere.

You are really struggling to understand, I am using the ones from the report without the one offs i.e. like for like as the one offs do not give a true performance comparison, it is that simple.

I think it is you that is not able to keep up because you are comparing anything that puts DEC in a good light in this case performance of 2 sets of figures with 2 different sets of one offs, I make it simple like comparing apples and pears. You should discard the one offs as these make any compassion meaningless. Must try harder! Take off the rose tinted glasses and do some simple maths.

See you also have not taken into account the rise in HH which has added to a reduced FCF in comparison to a year ago.

If these figures were as good as a year ago we should be around the same SP, in fact we should be more give HH price and look where we are, simple fact.

Factor in the BBs, 5.1 million shares repurchased YTD (~7% of current outstanding shares) to trying to prop up the SP but SP down 24.66% since start of year.

If we do the FCF per share taking out one off sales we get

FCF / share for Q3 2025 =$ 69.564m/78 =$0.891

FCF / share for Q3 2024 = $46.723/48 =$0.973

Since this time last year we have had inflation and HH up, not looking accretive to me.

I guess what you are saying is that we should use the FCF of 69.5 not the 143 you used earlier today, care to re-gig you FCF per share and yes I know you are using the unadjusted FCF which is meaningless when there are such large one offs and as said is not profit from the O&G business.

I did not say Oakbloke did not mention this I said he forgot to factor it in so I can read, can you?

Good spot, something OakBloke conveniently forgot to factor in, now need to adjust EBITDA for this to compare to old reports, I assume that fed this into FCF as well. As always for DEC the devil is in the details and unfortunately guidance not quite so good now.

Not a sad day, the reverse as I am long on DEC and now able to take some profits from a few trades I made which will help bring down my average, however this needs to be put in context, SP was £14.20+ before Maverick deal and £22 (old money) with dividends 3 times what they are now before the Rusty deal fest started.

There are various markers for me, first is break even after taking into trades which is around £12.32 but will alter as I buy and sell, break even including dividends around £13.42 but these figures do not take account of inflation/income from bank/building societies. If compared to my average profit on other shares during this period would need to be over £19.50 and last get back to where they were before all these deals, £22 but dividend will still be 1/3, this is more than I paid for my current position but I can dream.

Just perhaps the start of re-rate but at best a very small step in a very long journey, I can but hope. Let see what NYSE makes of it, while LSE is interesting intraday it is NYSE which will drive the price.

On a slightly different subject where are the BBs, given the FCF there should be more than enough cash to start them up again, there is enough for a special dividend but dream on.

As for GG I think I can say he is sad and will probably not post much for a time and/or the SP dips but as I filter him I will never know what he says just that he is posting.

No just you and GG a time ago, if you memory was not so bad you would know this as I told before in response to the same remark but again keep going if it makes you feel better. Seems you forgot the post before my one, I will explain to try to help you out (however I think you are beyond help), for a time it was noted by a number of people here and elsewhere that DEC SP followed the HH price, it has not stopped (may be difficult for you to understand as you do not know what stopped means).

Anyway not only was JC01 right about DEC but also about you. For me it is very amusing seeing you acting like this so keep it up but I don’t think it is very good for your mental health.
