UK shorts increased to 4.37% yesterday which may explain the drop in SP yesterday. Add in US shorts probably around 10% shorts.

UK shorts increased to 4.15%, may explain why Blackrock and others are large holders as Blackrock seem to increase holding as shorts increase i.e. they may well be loaning out the stock to shorters.

If SP drops much more on NYSE will be seeing if BBs are going to be trigged below $14.50.

Interesting analysis, good spot. It would explain why price on LSE has been dropping each day until NYSE opens and NYSE price goes up an hour or so after LSE closes as I am guessing that shares are being transfer from LSE to NYSE to get higher price. It was the other way around for a time before.

Perhaps they are doing more deals in France due to GBP falling against the EUR a trend which is predicted to continue, with UK economy in a perilous state, a budget looming which is expected to make things worse and political instability. However France does not seem to be in any better position than the UK so perhaps just that the income is in EURs and uncapped.

If you tax the banks the ones that can leave will leave, Barclays and HSBC already have plans in place and will be off, just like many Oil and Gas companies have, many other banks will use their funds invest in business aboard where there is a better return partly because UK is is business belligerent and partly too high taxes. The worst than useless Rachel form complaints seems intent on putting on a whole series of taxes on small groups to rinse them to pay for her incompetence, she is so thick that she does not realised this will not yield more tax but less as people change their behaviour. This budget is going to be not about what is best for the country but what will give Reeves and Starmer a few more months in office taking those nice salaries and expenses, think they will both be looking to evict their tenants otherwise they will become homeless.

You can't make this up, reward for failure, dilute existing shareholders, trash the SP and give yourself the potential for cheap shares of 9% of enlarged share capital so a lot more than 9% of existing capital so one share dilution and potentially another dilution all on the same day after.

This is treating shareholders with total distain, the BOD are a money grabbing bunch of incompetents as as far as I am concerned the best thing to happen is these senior executives is not to retain them but remove them without compensation as they clearly cannot do their job and and in effect bankrupted the company while being paid far too much to do so.

Another thing that points to BB be used to increase SP is that it restarted on a good news day with progress on an end to the US government shut down and talk of a FED rate cut so US shares indexes rose a lot so would expect DEC to SP rise without BBs, add in BBs now $0.50 more ceiling than the last lot and all planets aligned so give it and extra boost and start some good momentum which brings in more traders.

GG will be back in hibernation after this rise so no more empty boxes.

The BB strategy makes no sense if the intention is to add value but does make sense if the intention is to boost the SP, wait for decent momentum to build then add to it. This for me is just short term gain against a longer term/permanent gain if a lot more BBs when shares in the $12 - $13 range.

There are some questions on what is going on, is the days before rise due to the BBs being restarted been leaked, also yesterdays BBs were not that large,30,623 against 600,000+ volume so maybe something else in play as this would not account for the increase volume unless buying was because traders knew about the BBs. If volume is a lot lower today this would point to a leak, if not SP should rise.

Pre market is $14.73 on volume of 3,479 but pre market never seems to mean much unless volume is high at at present just reflecting LSE price.

From the look of the BBs they bought back up to $14.50, an amount used before, is this a one off as the last BB or will they keep it up, only know if it goes below $14.50 but even if they don't may well hold SP up due to threat of BBs. Going to be an interesting day once NYSE opens.

Another good thing is the shorts are now in trouble and there looks to be about 7m shares shorted, as these are reduced the SP should rise so not just an interesting day but interesting for a time. But one thing we do need are no more deals or that will put an end to any chance of recovery.

Interesting and good day for once, nice spike at the end, high volume in the US.

UK Shorts have gone up to 4.57% but that includes a reduction of 0.1% yesterday. They are not going to like the action today.

Apart from increased revenue very disappointing.

Adjusted EBITA loss, £2.6m up from £1.1m

Operating loss £3.5m up from £1.373m

Loss for the year £3.41m up from £1,27m

Losses per share 0.93p up from 0.42p

Net cash outflow from operating activities £3.18m up from £1.65m

Also stuffed the books with £2.28m of good will, something I never trust.

Add in more share dilution.

For me this does not look good, more jam tomorrow statements just like last year and no sign of any profit. Company is bigger with bigger spending and bigger losses even on a per share basis.

No freebies for me, never claimed a penny off the state, paid for my private and public pension out of my own money made from hard work, no gold plated pensions just defined contributions pension which Gordon Brown added a dividend tax (effectively). The gold plated pensions you mention are for government workers which I am paying for partly from my pension. Also my parents were factory workers, they worked very hard all their lives including overtime every week, got nothing from the state but taxes while paying for all those government workers you like so much earning more than they ever did.

Only just basic pension for a few years which they paid for and was taxed.

What a load of rubbish you talk, I have personally extended my property to make 3 sperate dwellings, in one a friend with his family stayed for many years while he built his business. I will at some point go for planning permission to put more houses on my plot so not only have already increased the dwellings I will probably add more, how many have you built? There is no point on going for planning at present as Rachel from complaints has frozen the housing market in my area and a number of developers have gone bankrupt unable to sell houses they built, another great achievement in bringing the country down.

You can't be more wrong, I believe in the free market economy not free stuff like you, you should get to keep most of what you worked for not have it taken away to fund the mistakes of a useless socialist government, people who refuse to work and loads of illegal immigrants to name just a few things. This socialist experiment has been tried many times in many countries including this one and they always fail, they create a class of people like our Labour ministers and top civil servants who are more equal than others, take a look at the PM's special pension arrangements, one rule for him another for all of us. Now remind me how many did the government take to COP30 for a free jolly, first class, best hotels and food etc and a special road built to save them travelling time, all on the taxes taken from our hard work. Really, if you could remember my post in reply to you on other boards you can see I am no fan of the last Tory government which as I said acted like Tony Blair on steroids, who is suffering from memory loss!.

As you can’t understand basic figures I will explain, after the huge £40bm increase in taxes by Rachel from complaints the national debt is growing at a huge pace. There is simple a economic truth, you can’t tax you way out of recession and debt. Under labour there is not a snowballs chance in hell of the debt being brought down let alone the deficit, it is not in their DNA. Labour will not cut spending and can’t even limit the increase so put us in a doom loop of more taxes which reduce economic activity and then require more taxes, 1970s all over again.

Can't agree more my holding in BP good, Shell doing very well, and ENOG even better and my SQZ and Kistos holding with all the EPL are in profit but DEC a disaster even with all the help from Trump.

The question is who is benefiting from these asset purchases, not DEC shareholders but ones selling to DEC from the look of EQT and from the latest report not the FCF (if you take out one offs) also the owners of the high priced DEC debt are doing far better than the DEC shareholders. However Rusty is fine as he just gives himself more free shares for trashing shareholder returns, all accretive, to him but not to me.

Our best hope for the future is Rusty to do nothing and HH to rise then perhaps one day I can break even if I include my trades, made a few small trades in the last few days at these low levels with small profit but every little helps against the losses.

Trading is the answer, over the last few years my trades have made £17.30 per share over 82 trades but this is on a small amount of cash against loses of £2.64 a share including dividends on a much larger amount. In hindsight I should have sold the investment and just traded but as always trading in hindsight produces great result. As I have been saying DEC is a great trading share but a disastrous investment.

SREI have not been buying back their own shares, the main difference is that they chose not to pursue a policy of expansion during the period while interest rates are high, asset prices are falling and trading below NAV. SUPR did, it was to the detriment of shareholders but to advantage of the management who get paid more fees as the portfolio is larger. My older SUPR investments are seriously under water even including dividends while SREI showing a very good profit, says it all.

I can't see any reason the agreement with Blue Owl does not allow BBs, in fact in latest AGM votes there is

"18 THAT THE COMPANY BE AUTHORISED TO MAKE MARKET PURCHASES OF ITS ORDINARY SHARES"

so it can if it wants to.

You can say the yield on the new assets will increase but so will the dividends probably more so with BBs.

It is a simple question BB your own shares at a discount to NAV saving 7.5% against buying more assets at NAV with a yield of 6.4%, buying back shares will no doubt increase SP and improve NAV while more asset purchases will not and in fact increase discount. SUPR do recognise to some extent the advantage of having less shares are they have stopped the DRIP dividends as this has no affect on their fees. They always compare cost of debt for new asset purchases to determine if it is accretive but never against buying back your own shares or overall return to shareholders as this will not give the results they want.

There is a simple rule for me, BB shares when significant discount to NAV, buy assets when premium to NAV, it is about shareholder value but in SUPR case it is about raising the investment fee. Also it is good idea to not over extend on debt which has caused so many issues for REITs and lack of trust in management to do the right thing by shareholders which has lead to many being wound down as the shareholders have lost confidence that the managements can give decent overall shareholder returns but instead pursue the polies that are best for them.
