I dream of being down 4.5%, I am down 41%, 30% if you count the dividends in about a year.

Difficult to known when the SP will sort itself out, every time some minor recovery starts Rusty trashes the SP by buying more wells, diluting the shares, maxing out credit card and of course trashing the dividends.

For me I am not being paid to wait, yield far too low on my investment and would be better off in an easy access bank account or almost twice the yield in Super Market REIT, Phoenix and a number of others I own without the drama, not dependent on HH or politics and which could give a decent capital gain and dividend increase where DEC strategy is just leading to more capital loses and shorting add in dividend stuck at low level for a number of years. But I guess with Rusty in charge the yield will be high as he trashes the SP.

That is my feeling, these lot probably got shares as Rusty could not raise any more cash without issues, they wanted out of these gas fields but got left with some residual holding via DEC, I suspect this was Hobsons choice for them and would have preferred it all in cash and if so will have to wait for end of lock in which I think was 6 moths for one of the them but now so many losing track.

I bough into a relative safe company with excellent dividends and now left with a huge gamble on Gas prices (including weather) and politics without being given a chance to vote on the total change of direction. Also accounts are very difficult to understand party as DEC wont stay still long enough to make any meaningful comparisons.

If it was not for Blackrock buying who knows where the SP would be!

We are in a very dangerous position relying on Blackrock and the companies that own the new issued shares to hold, without a proper BB program and no plan B from Rusty (out of cash and debts rising so no wiggle room) if any sell the SP will be in freefall from an already low point.

Also have no idea what Kamala will do to us if elected, it is reported she has been a fierce critic of the oil industry.

I think the shorts are betting on a much shorter timescale, they know the market does not like companies with huge amounts of debt which keeps increasing, trash the dividend, dilute current share holders, new shares issued to companies who may want to get out after lock up period, on a non stop buying spree and lie to their share holders.

Shorts love the Rusty well buying machine, the gift that just keeps giving.

Should have also said along with Rusty's new purchase the SP drops, again no news just same old same old.

So trusty Rusty buys More Gas wells with more dilution for the current shareholders and more debt, does not seem like news anymore we can trust Rusty to keep up the same old strategy and as always the shorts are increasing, deja vu all over again.

The one thing to take from this is Rusty's thirst for wells, share dilution and debt is accelerating and as DEC heads more into Texas his plans to become the JR of gas are being achieved along with becoming the most shorted company.

Dread to think what happens if one of his new shareholders decide to get out when the lock in period expired.

As you stated this is the issue with DEC, jam tomorrow but when is tomorrow. I bought these shares because it was returning 40% FCF to shareholders in dividends and Rusty told us this was safe.

As you say FCF covers debt but this is no use to me as I lost most of my dividends and lot of my capital as the markets do not like what Rusty is doing. Perhaps at some point Rusty will stop or be stopped but no sign of that at present. In order to fulfil his gas dream he has saddled the company with huge fixed price debt, trashed the dividend, diluted the shares and lied.

At some point renewables/nuclear will take over and very little gas required and if Rusty continues with his strategy we will end up with a lot of non performing wells to plug and a load of old rusty pipes. This will not happen for a long time but Rusty's obsession seems impossible to stop without IIs intervention.

I bought into DEC for dividends, why else, Investors buy O&G company (except exploration companies) mostly for dividends, if I was looking for capital gain/jam tomorrow I would look elsewhere, AI springs to mind. Or to put it another way Rusty is out of touch with DECs investor base which is why the SP is in the gutter and the second most shorted company.

As Trek states this is a good share to trade but unfortunately for me a very poor investment.

If these assets are worth $800m why not just sell them off and clear around half the debt, SP rises, more cash for dividends as less interest payments, NAV per share increases what's not to like. The trouble is I very much doubt that there is anyone who will pay $800m therefore they are not worth this, also Rusty would hate to sell all but a few wells as it goes against his policy of get every gas well you can not matter what cost to the SP, Dividends, Debt levels, Share dilution.

One thing Rusty has achieved is to drop the SP so the shares issued for the Crescent Pass acquisition are not dilutive and the dividend yield is up, great move Trusty Rusty.

Unusually there are a lot of pre market trades with a price of around $13.94, taken with the high after market some is different, perhaps it is the run up to the results but I would have expected this to happen after market close on 14th.

I think you coved the issues with the SP, NO CASH, so nothing to use for more Divi, BBs or reduced debt. It does not take a genius to see that Rustys plans are very much disliked by the market (including lying), recently 3 times he bought more wells and market just dropped the SP with every buy and shorts increasing. We are stuck here until the market changes it's mind, Rusty changes his strategy, intervention from a large shareholder/s or the company is taken over for a low price but will help if HH can return to more normal price but his has been low for a time now with no real signs of recovery even with all the expert predictions.

DEC close up at $14.03 in NY but what is more interesting is that the after market traded over 16,000 shares at a little over $14, usually after market only trades a few shares except when DEC entered the Russell index. Should be interesting tomorrow.
