RE: Buybacks5 Sep 2024 10:05
Looks like DEC emptied the Piggy Bank on the large BBs so nothing left. Used most of the future dividends (as dividend dropped), max credit card, used up a lot of cash including cash for BBs for acquisitions and all we get is the SP trashed and more shorting, well done Trusty Rusty.
Would have been better value for shareholders to spread the BBs over a longer period so letting the SP drop and getting the shares at lower cost. Over all effect on SP probably the same but they chose to try and limit the drop after the last acquisition so it did not look quite so bad for Rusty. I only hope he has leaned his lesson, if not I don't think there will be many companies willing to take DEC shares for assets unless they are desperate to sell or selling at a high price.
Just to make it worse GG in overdrive and some new de-rampers here and elsewhere and given the number of post in quick succession probably being paid by the shorters. In our case Rrb1981, 64 posts in less 1 and half weeks all saying more or less the same thing while on ADVFN it started just a few days earlier.
Rrb1981, fist sentence
"Have followed this board for some time. Thought I would add some commentary from the US side of the pond"
Then
"DEC's primary issue is the asset retirement obligations (ARO's)"
After this non stop pushing AROs, even agreeing with GG from time to time. Rrb1981 give it up, the game is up, we know what you are up to.
