I take your point but I don't think you needed hindsight to see where the SP was going after the last acquisition, one direction, down so a trend establish for traders to ride along with panic from RIs, stop loses, margin trading and increased shorts. There was just not enough gas in the tank to stop the downward pressure and Rusty knows how much gas is available but decided to fire all the ammunition at once so nothing left. I perhaps should have sold some (hindsight) but no way was I going to buy more until SP settled which it seemed to have but still too fragile for my liking especially as US support not what it was and FTSE250 issues. This was one of the few times I thought TREK was making a mistake but I must say overall he is doing a lot better than me.

That was before the last acquisition when DEC had more cash but more important the increase in debt, I am not anywhere near as keen as I was before the dividend cut. Although I still believe BBs are worthwhile at this SP the debt has become more of a worry as less % of the gas is now hedged. At best hedged for 3 years debt fixed at high rate for up to 9 years. This will all end well if HH has a decent rise and can hold but this company is far more of a risk than when I first bought due to high debt and less hedging. Also we have the threat of Karmala (who won't say what she plans to do), a loss cannon when it comes to ESG and more ESG focused then Joe Biden. For now I would like to see a safety first strategy, hopefully will calm the markets and reduce risk.

Very true but with limited amounts of cash for BB would I would have liked it to stabilise first, as I said I think it now has, tested the 820.5p low so IMO this is a good time for BBs. However I don’t think the large BBs were for accretive reasons but to save face for Rusty.

Agreed. As I stated when the large BBs started and some people were predicting all the new shares would be bought back in a few months at this level I said we will be lucky if they keep this up for a few weeks. The problem is Rusty keeps talking about BBs and all we see is an incoherent strategy staved of cash, as you say the shorters know this so are not phased. In a tug of war the shorters have far more cash than DEC as Rusty spent all of DECs cash buying more wells.

I think DEC has just run out of cash, the BBs were increased to try to prevent the SP plummeting after last acquisition partly to save face for Rusty and partly to help with future acquisitions where new shares are involved. Unfortunately this failed miserably on both counts, wasted more of our cash, should have waited for the SP to bottom then BB, end result for SP probably around the same if not better and would have either more cash on the balance sheet or BB more shares saving even more cash in dividends.

The only thing we can hope for is Rusty will or be forced to keep his fingers of the buy more wells button, also who would want to take DEC shares for assets knowing the price will tank. The Credited card maxed out with a lot of the debt at fixed rates when interest rates set to fall. Although I like BBs in the current environment when SP in the gutter for the SP to rise we either need HH to rise (obviously out of DECs control), Rusty to reduce debt not say he will then increase it or just perhaps do nothing and stop lying.

Depends what you mean, DEC SP to an extent, posts not a chance. In general I ignore you as best described as "Mostly Harmless" (Douglas Adams). However now you have got in bed with Rrb1981 it has become different, he is here for one thing and one think only to DE-RAMP for the shorters. They have smelt blood and will do everything they can to push the SP lower (like Bluebell).

This is a good question we can only guess, RI are a small % of DEC shareholders but are more volatile and susceptible to FUD, also from what I understand the IIs are not changing holding that much but the RIs are probably the ones panicking (picnicking for GG). If there is low volume it does not take much to change a SP, once a trend is established traders will ride it making it worse. Then RIs stop loses/margin trading kicking in with every fall of the SP.

My guess RrB make very little if any difference and by coincidence one started on the ADVFN board around the same time posting incessantly but if I am correct this costs very little and as shorters have large positions so even a very little change is quite a lot. This is of course added to the much larger problem that Rusty created with the buy as many wells as you can eat, trashing dividend, pushing up debt to eye watering levels and lying. After Rusty's shenanigans the SP is fragile (right or wrong) therefore it is the right time to de-ramp for best effect (affect for GG), even as something as little as RrBs FUD may make a small difference.

We will never know but if a new poster just appears pushing the same negative points repetitively and trying to create a narrative he is a professional with more information/understanding than us what are we to think. He is not GG, he is consistent, the info he gives is creatable to those without full knowledge and uses some facts but misses out others, if not a seasoned investor or new to DEC you can easily be taken in if not called out. This is happening at a time when the company is heavily shorted and SP is fragile after the last acquisition, this is not definitive proof but fits the situation.

If you cannot find a reason for an action a good course is to follow the money, i.e. who benefits (except GG who has gained a friend).

It is not his opinion just what the shorters have told him to say, I am not fretting just posting facts about RrB for a balanced view, you should try checking them out just as you should about the posts I made on DEC/Rusty and Blackrock lending shares. You will then have a full view of the situation. As you will see I am no fan of Rustys strategy to buy all the wells you can eat, anaemic and sporadic BBs (my words) and also my view on Blackrock share lending. The problem for RrB is he has be outed so his cunning plan to spread FUD does not work, still he now stands at 94 posts only on the DEC board in just over 2 weeks, he is after 100 for the bonus from the shorters.

Really Boy George you must do better, I was the one who first stated that Blackrock was most lightly buying DEC so it could make money on the dividends, loans to shorters and when the shorts close the SP will rise so eventually make capital gains. Blackrock would not buy just to loan out the shares and lose a lot more in capital, they have a longer game. I said some like

There is no point is asking Rrb1981 any meaningful questions, if it is not on the shorters script he cannot answer, I tied a very easy one a number of times of why he is posting here, no answer, not on the script.
