You make a good point and I do not regard myself as a good trader, however I have traded a lot more than just a few days recently with success with DEC and CCJ but decided to post the last few DEC trades as they happened with some explanation after the remark from pickedpeck, usually I say very little about my trades. However if I was that good I would not have got caught up in the disaster that is DEC as my investment side is in heavy loses.
As a general point I used to go along to a trading club mostly amateur but some professional investors, it shut down because of Lockdown, it was a real insight on how it is done. If I used what they always kept saying which is to set your loses and get out (as well as your profits) I would not be so heavily down with DEC. Most of the people had a strategy which they dry tested for many months constantly improving and retesting with back data, when ready they traded with it usually with good success. This was TA and a lot of maths and curves involved, MacD was used a lot with different settings, most used vectorvest which is a very effective trading tool but also very useful for back testing your strategy but takes months to tailor to your needs. If I ever get time I will start using vectorvest but takes a lot to learn and use it to good advantage.
