GM began accepting pre-orders for both the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq in the Luxury RWD and Luxury AWD trim levels today, charging customers a $100 fully-refundable fee to reserve their spot in line. The automaker is still accepting pre-orders for the Lyriq, however with the 2023 model year now sold out, customers who sign up will likely receive a 2024 model year Lyriq at a later date. These customers may be moved forward in the line if some reservation holders back out, as well.

As we reported previously, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury RWD and Luxury AWD are available in a total of four exterior colors, including Opulent Blue Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, Satin Steel Metallic and Stellar Black Metallic. All 2023 Cadillac Lyriq buyers will also receive two years of complimentary charging at EVgo charging stalls, or a $1,500 credit toward the installation of an at-home Level 2 charger with Qmerit.

I think what doubled was the amount of cars with SEE tech in. 1st 6 month period was 125,000 then last one we got was 250,000 i think from memory.

Be interesting to see what the figure is to June 22?

Also looking forward to seeing how many Fleet installs in this current 6 month period.

I agree with you but what i said was they may not imo. Actions speak louder than words. Why aren't Stifel banging the drum to the many wealthy Tech funds in the US? Its all very specialised.

If i was selling my house and a few friends & family were interested I wouldn't go to an agent to stick out a board and advertise it more.

Yes one of the main problems. A very Niche market & in the scheme of things not a massive turnover. The likes of Lombard that are in are knowledgeable on the Co. Many on here are the same but its a tiny % of Joe public.

Even many minnow Cryptos are more well known to joe public & traders. Shame we havent got a SEE Crypto coin tied to the Co lol

Iam suprised that at 11p it seemed that many funds were interested, yet at 7p they nowhere to be seen.

Cenkos since not becoming our brokers are putting stuff out regularly but i dont see much action from our main brokers in the USA. Coincidence or still wanting to fly under the radar i wonder?

The Company may not want too many big boys sniffing around if a plan in place for the future tie up/disposal so why advertise it too much?

Those with faith on the outside & inside know whats coming iam sure. Just be good to have a few more on the scene to raise the volumes and keep it closer to brokers valuations. Frustrating for sure at times....

BMW is ready with its summer model update for its 2022 model range, which includes a new standard infotainment system for the 2 Series Coupe and the M3. The company’s iDrive 8 tech will be standard on all versions of the performance coupes starting from July this year. There are other upgrades also worth mentioning but let’s start with the new curved displays.

It may seem a little unexpected for BMW to give the two models such a huge tech boost without an actual generation change or a facelift, though the move makes a lot of sense. The automaker will soon launch the new M2 and M3 Touring, both already confirmed to get the new iDrive 8 system. It would've been weird for the lesser 2 Series Coupe models and the standard M3 sedan to stick with the previous-gen infotainment, which easily explains the mid-cycle upgrade.

As its estimated it could be anything? Ive seen the likes of BMW this Week and GM bringing forward model launches so if others follow suit then 2024s estimates could surely rub off in 2023s figures.

Add Fleet with the likes of Shell & other big boys signing up & a nice one or 2 Aviation contracts it could be a fair bit higher, but time will tel....

Hands-free highway driving takes a major step forward with Lincoln’s ActiveGlide hands-free highway driving assistant.

I just used the feature to drive hands-free for about 900 miles of an 1,100-mile drive from New Orleans to Detroit. I was the first outsider to test Lincoln’s hands-free highway driving in long, multiday drives.

Ford Motor Co., which owns the Lincoln and Ford brands, is the second automaker to offer a hands-free highway driving system. GM’s Super Cruise came first, going on sale in 2017. Super Cruise is now well into its second generation and available on a number of Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. It offers hands-free passing and other features ActiveGlide and its Ford brand counterpart BlueCruise don’t have, though FoMoCo may catch up quickly with over-the-air software updates.

Contrary to what lame T-shirts and lousy youth soccer coaches may say, second place in the race to offer hands-free highway driving is decidedly not the first loser. We can expect a steady flow of OTA upgrades, but even in its current rollout state, ActiveGlide is vastly better than the driving assistants offered by other automakers, from Mercedes-Benz to Toyota to Hyundai to Tesla.

Well, this is unexpected. It was only a few hours ago when BMW unveiled the 2023 3 Series LCI and we’ve now stumbled upon an official image of the updated M3. While you’d be tempted to say someone from within the company made a mistake and published the photo sooner than planned, that’s not the case. Why? Because the latest-gen infotainment is coming sooner than you think. The German luxury brand says all cars produced from July this year will switch to the iDrive 8 as standard equipment.

The report also indicates Apple realizes that full self-driving could be a lofty goal to achieve within a realistic timeframe, so it may be forced to settle for a more traditional interior design and partial automation like GM Super Cruise or Tesla Autopilot. A vehicle like this would of course still benefit from Apple-developed interior technology, as well, such as display screens, in-vehicle apps, and smartphone integration for the infotainment system.
