October 2022 — Hyundai MOBIS and Luxoft announced today that they are establishing a collaboration for the Infotainment Domain Controller. Through this collaboration, the two companies will be able to provide more compelling solutions in the complex automotive domain controller market.

Both companies are actively working on the Infotainment ****pit Controller MIS (MOBIS Infotainment System), the most advanced system that can integrate the Digital Cluster, AR Head-up Display, Passenger Display, Center Stack Display, Rear Seat Entertainment, Driver Monitoring System and Surround View Monitor. This product has adapted Qualcomm's latest GEN4 AP based on Android 12 to provide users with a more seamless and richer infotainment environment.

The collaboration can accelerate automakers' development of brand-differentiating enhanced user experience solutions that are connected and integrate IVI, HMI and digital ****pit platforms.

The Air Force expects to complete its two-year transition to the new undergraduate pilot training curriculum by the end of October, the head of Air Education and Training Command recently told reporters.
Service officials contend that “Undergraduate Pilot Training 2.5,” a software-heavy, self-paced version of the course, is producing better-prepared pilots faster than before.

The program has been adopted across the Air Force’s three undergraduate flight school bases: Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi; Vance AFB, Oklahoma; and Laughlin AFB, Texas.
Undergraduate pilot training that used to last a full year has shrunk by nearly half. Students earn their pilot’s wings after about seven months while flying the T-6 Texan II training aircraft in UPT 2.5, then move onto the T-38 Talon or T-1 Jayhawk for about five more months of specialized lessons in flying fighter, bomber or mobility planes.

In May Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor debuted its Mocca DHT-PHEV LIDAR Edition vehicles which uses the Snapdragon Digital Chassis, including connectivity and ****pit platforms. Great Wall Motors CTO Yuanli Wang said the company wants to become “a global technology-driven mobility company. Qualcomm has been an important technology provider and a close partner.” He also called out “joint development” on C-V2X connectivity.

If we don’t win via T1 or them then we will win stuff via Magna. If we don’t win via Magna then through an existing USA or EU OEM with existing models. While china Chasing selling into USA & EU both of these are going for sales over there.

Ambarella’s new focus is on IoT endpoint applications where most of the decision-making originates from imaging data collected through the lens of a camera and/or HD radar. Yes, all those security cameras they power generate video that can be monitored by chips instead of humans. Over 100 Ambarella customers are said to have reached production using the computer vision technology that Ambarella has developed. Most computer vision revenues for the firm have come from replacing traditional security cameras with AI-enabled cameras that have a 2X higher average selling price. Unless these cameras provide automation, it wouldn’t make sense for customers to pay this higher price. Over 70% of Ambarella employees are software engineers which means they’re probably building functionality into their hardware that could make the 900 million installed cameras under their umbrella capable of moving from “human viewing” to “machine viewing” for an added subscription fee.
From then on, automotive applications are expected to grow to become nearly 70% of total revenues by 2028. It’s a “build it and they will come” approach that assumes they’ll succeed in the face of other firms dabbling in this space,

DETROIT — U.S. new vehicle sales fell slightly in the third quarter, even though some automakers reported improvement in September. But there are warning signs consumers’ appetite for expensive new cars, trucks and SUVs may be waning.

Edmunds.com said Monday that sales fell 0.9% from July through September, with most automakers reporting declines. General Motors GM was a notable exception, logging a big increase.

GM accelerates Factory ZERO upgrades on 170,000 Silverado EV reservations
The Silverado EV was first announced earlier this year on January 5, and is scheduled to enter production in the spring of 2023. The electric truck proved immediately popular with the company racking up more than 110,000 reservations within the first month.

By the end of July that figure had grown to more than 150,000.

While announcing its Q3 production and delivery figures today, GM says there are now approximately 170,000 reservations for the Silverado EV.
