RE: flat if not slighlty declining18 Sep 2017 10:55
This has to be a good thing doesn't it?,HPI over the last few years has been robust and a cooling off period is needed for the long term health of the housing market.
Dividends for the next 3 years are guided at 17p/19p/20p,so at todays SP, TEF are yielding an average of just over 5%,that is very attractive.Steph,as far as ISA investment is concerned,do you think a £1666 investment per month is more sensible than investing £20000 in a lump,it takes the risk away of investing the annual allowance in one lump at the wrong time?.
Sain, your hopes for a TEF/UANC are understandable, but some of us would prefer TEF to stay as they are and not be influenced by the minds of those operating in a different market. It may be that JDS's role at UANC will be of great benefit to both companies in their different spheres and possibly it is best left at that.Steph's notions of where TEF will be in 20 years time are quite possibly attainable through their own independent organic efforts.
With 4 major home builders going XD on Thursday, the sector is unlikely to make SP progress this week.
Many home builders are now offering to pay the buyers stamp duty,so they obviously have a few % points of the asking price available to keep sales momentum up.
