Interesting question.If you were to undertake forensic due diligence,a figure that would probably be fair to both parties,might be about 535p per share.If the CEO market operated the same as the transfer market for footballers,JDS could fetch between £35/£40m,so TEF might be worth 50p per share less without him.We know that valuable players such as Andrew,David and Jim have their eyes focused on near term retirement,so Jon is the heavyweight leader at the moment,supported by the very capable young guns.It wont happen though.

Strictly.....Nobody on here can make more sensible estimates of forward EPS than Peel Hunt and Shore Capital, the two house brokers,who both have access to financial areas we don't.What we can assume is that they have left room for TEF to surprise on the upside ( 5% or so ),any massive under estimate and they lose credibility.The fprward guidance for the next 2 or 3 years is magic and if this was your own private business,you would be doing cartwheels.

We saw in 2007/8,the wider problems that a collapse in housing markets causes the wider economy.Surely we have learned from that and will engineer conditions to prevent a repeat.
