RE: Nigeria’s Oil Production Now 1.59 million Barrels Per Day—NNPC13 Dec 2022 12:03
"By the time LSE get the data from the LSE it’s out of date by up to 15mins." AT trades are executed at the moment they occur because they are taken from the LII order book. O trades can be momentarily delayed since they pass through the MMs ... whilst can be further delayed to try and spoof tracker algos ... where large trades can be delayed for hours for the same reasoning.
In terms of buy/sell these are always estimates for O trades based upon LII ... AT trades are always exact but a sample of the underlying market activity.
Either way ... the idea of buy/sell is bogus ... if a retail investor buys from a MM, the MM has sold so every transaction posted has both a buyer and a seller.
What one can do is look for trading patterns on LII and try to trade accordingly ....
... but on Seplat we have seen some pretty heavy trades go through the past week or so that are either shorts closing or shorts opening up new positions .....
.... the only thing to be sure of, when seeing these trades is that shareprice movement is likely .. although not happened yet.
MMs have the price down .. so if the Exxon deal collapses there will likely be a knee jerk down to take out stops .. or a controlled rise to let the shorts buy back before losing their shirts.
