Since when is the market rational SeaTank? Attitudes to oil have changed markedly since 2018 … but it is what it is … about 7.5p will come back to shareholders by the end of June so buying now is effectively buying just under 100p.

NNPC don’t like Seplat as competition in my view …. Maybe a tribal spat who knows so why not buy Seplat out and be done with it.

I took some money off the table this morning and this afternoon ..... got a nice 108-115 sell but 112.5 for the rest just in profit.

This is a market in panic mode.

Took a 1% loss here on the spike yesterday .... TENT up wot 4% was it yesterday wider market splattered if it drops to 68p or less with the market higher I might get back in.

Seems like I made a good call.

There is not a great deal of difference to the sub-set of the UK demanding "levelling up" ....
... where the courts act quickly in Nigeria.

The problem, is that some folk fail to appreciate that being xxxxx-ish (pick the nationality) does not give an automatic right to a job without the appropriate skills ...

... and if one doesn't have the skills, one has to put the effort in to gain th required skills.

Something that some UK and some Nigerian folk would seem unable to grasp ....

.... sadly.

Not going to disagree raxfactor … but the mess does not help the investment case for Nigeria …. Seplat undertakes responsible capitalism investing in local communities … it might be argued that more could be done … but that’s not the same as labelling the company and/or individuals ******.

Still post August 8th average with latest buybacks down to 81p …. Sold some bond fund holdings in $’s this morning … fingers crossed price stays low until monday.

I'm reading on twitter claims that the Exxon deal has been struck with Seplat getting operatorship and 35% of the Exxon assets with NNPC the rest.

We will see.

40K share sale at 120p just got pulled … on L2 ….

There is 10c divi to be had by the end of May minus 10% Nigerian taxes assuming the share follows on from last year.

Q3 runs the risk of floods in Nigeria .... and has been a poor 1/4 for a couple of years now - price in the expectation .. and buy on the drop in the 1/4.

9.7% yield including Nigerian taxes ..... small drop in reserves if I read rightly but to be expected given that underperforming assets were shed if memory serves rightly.

20% upside as Ex divi dates approach ... oil willing.
